Illegal Alien Pleads Guilty To Federal Charges. He Allegedly Duped School Into Enrolling Him As Teen

A 24-year-old Venezuelan illegal immigrant who allegedly posed as a homeless teen and enrolled in an Ohio high school pleaded guilty Monday to lying in immigration documents and firearm applications.

Anthony Emmanuel Labrador-Sierra pleaded guilty to possession of a firearm by an alien unlawfully in the U.S., making a false statement during the purchase of a firearm and two counts of making or using false writings or documents, according to a U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Ohio press release. Labrador-Sierra “submitted a false date of birth to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services on federal applications for Temporary Protective Status and Employment Authorization Documents in 2024 and 2025,” the indictment said.

Labrador-Sierra was arrested in May 2025 for identity fraud, according to a police report obtained by the Daily Caller News Foundation. Authorities said Labrador-Sierra was an overstay on an expired work visa and falsely posed as a minor, enrolling himself in school for over a year before his actual identity was discovered.

Labrador-Sierra approached Perrysburg Schools in November 2023 and requested to be enrolled, according to police. He allegedly claimed to be homeless and a victim of human trafficking. He produced a birth certificate with a birth date of Dec. 2, 2007 when told he needed a birth certificate to enroll in school, authorities said.

Labrador-Sierra allegedly used the falsified records to obtain legal guardianship, a Social Security number and an Ohio driver’s license. Questions about Labrador-Sierra’s identity arose when a woman contacted the family who had taken guardianship of him and claimed he was the father of her child, police said. The guardian family then contacted Perrysburg Schools, who contacted police, according to WTOL 11. (RELATED: Illegal Migrant Accused Of Strangling Infant Released Under Obama, Dismissed By Biden)

Perrysburg Schools reacted to the incident in a May 27 letter detailing Labrador-Sierra’s arrest.

“We share the anger and frustration expressed by many in our community. This individual is accused of misrepresenting his identity, forging documents, and exploiting systems designed to protect vulnerable youth. While emotions are high, it’s important that we remain grounded in facts as this complex situation continues to unfold,” the district said.

Perrysburg Schools shared that Labrador-Sierra had been a member of their junior varsity soccer and swim teams.

Prosecutors said Labrador-Sierra crossed the border in 2019, the New York Post reported. He allegedly possessed a Taurus G3C 9mm semiautomatic pistol while in the U.S., according to Fox News.

Labrador-Sierra faces up to 30 years in prison on all charges, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said. He will return to court to be sentenced on Jan. 23, 2026.
