50 Cent slams California’s health insurance gift to illegal immigrants

Rapper Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson III slammed California’s Democratic leaders following the announcement that the state would become the first to offer health insurance to illegal immigrants.

The Golden State will offer comprehensive health insurance to immigrants, which is anticipated to expand to nearly 700,000 residents living in the state.

“In California, we believe everyone deserves access to quality, affordable healthcare coverage — regardless of income or immigration status,” according to the office of Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA). “Through this expansion, we’re making sure families and communities across California are healthier, stronger, and able to get the care they need when they need it.”

Jackson does not appear to share Newsom’s sentiment.

“I don’t understand this, this it going to cost 2.6 billion dollars for tax payers,” he posted to social media Wednesday.

“They don’t even give veterans health insurance,” Jackson continued. “@arimelber call my phone now, help me understand this.”

California’s latest gift to illegal immigrants is expected to cost around $1.2 billion during the initial six months and increase to roughly $3.1 billion per year.
