A reporting intern for a broadcast news network passed out and needed medical attention during a White House press briefing on Tuesday amid dangerously hot temperatures in Washington, D.C.
A Press Briefing by Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre was briefly stopped after a reporter passed out in the back of the briefing room at White House in Washington, D.C.

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre paused the briefing and rushed to check on the person, who was impacted by heat and is now being attended to by White House medical staff as of 2:13 p.m. She acknowledged that it was hot in the press briefing room.

Temperatures were in the low 90s in D.C. on Tuesday. They are expected to approach 100 later in the week.
