Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell is giving his semiannual monetary policy report to the Senate Banking Committee.

The hearing will begin at 10 a.m. EDT from Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C.

Powell’s testimony comes a week after he said that inflation may not return to the Federal Reserve’s goal of 2% until late 2025 or 2026. Inflation has been above the 2% goal since 2021.
