Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) suggested that President Joe Biden’s alleged mental decline was caused by his COVID-19 vaccination.

Weighing into speculation about the president’s mental acuity, the Republican firebrand alluded to Biden receiving the COVID-19 vaccine and booster shots as an explanation.

“I wonder what could have caused Joe Biden’s rapid physical and cognitive decline?” she said in a post on X, along with a deep in thought emoji.

The post featured four pictures of Biden getting his vaccination and booster shots, taken between January 2021 and October 2022.

The remarks weren’t the first time she touched on Biden’s mental acuity, but they were the first time she suggested a connection with the vaccine. Boebert’s opposition to the COVID-19 vaccine has been mostly focused on opposing vaccine mandates, objecting to the term “anti-vax” over the stance. In recent months, however, she has questioned the efficacy of the vaccine itself.

While calling for the prosecution of Dr. Anthony Fauci last month, Boebert said that he and health authorities had “ended people’s businesses and livelihoods over a vaccine that didn’t even stop transmission.”

In another recent post on X, Boebert said that Biden’s mental decline was obvious to everyone since 2020, which was before Biden received the vaccine.

“Democrats need to stop acting like they didn’t know Biden was cognitively shot until the debate,” she said. “Everyone with two eyes knew. You actually didn’t even need eyes … just ears. This has been obvious since he ran from the basement!”
