It’s the last day of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, and former President Donald Trump is set to accept his nomination for president.
On the first day of the convention, Trump announced Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH), who is serving his first term in office, as his vice president pick.
Lara Trump, Trump’s daughter-in-law and RNC co-chairwoman, said people may be surprised to see a different version of Trump following the failed assassination attempt on his life at a Pennsylvania rally last Saturday. In an exclusive interview with the Washington Examiner, Trump said he completely rewrote the speech he had prepared.

“The speech I was going to give on Thursday was going to be a humdinger,” Trump said. “Had this not happened, this would’ve been one of the most incredible speeches. Honestly, it’s going to be a whole different speech now.”
In addition, professional wrestler Hulk Hogan and political commentator Tucker Carlson will be speaking this evening. Ultimate Fighting Championship CEO Dana White will be introducing Trump.
