Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) shared his praise of the Biden administration on Sunday for delivering “spectacular, remarkable victories” on multiple fronts across the political sphere.
Raskin’s praise for President Joe Biden comes as the president is running for reelection in 2024, and announced earlier this year that he would keep Vice President Kamala Harris as his running mate.
DEMOCRATS TRIED TO GIVE BIDEN AN EDGE, BUT THESE STATES AREN’T COOPERATING
“We’re all behind the Biden-Harris administration, which has delivered spectacular, remarkable victories in a $1.2 trillion infrastructure of America Inflation Reduction Act, in dramatic reductions in health care costs for the American people in the Medicare program, in real climate change advocacy and defense against the nightmare of climate change,” Raskin said. “So we’ve been making tremendous progress under Biden-Harris, and we’re all for the ticket.”

The Democratic representative also denied any accusations that there was division among Democrats. He criticized members of the Republican Party, whom he labeled as the “rule or ruin” faction while praising the current administration for working against this faction.

Raskin’s praise for Biden and Harris comes only a few days after he dodged questions on whether he believed Harris was Biden’s best option for reelection. When pressed on the matter, he said that Harris is “an excellent running mate for President Biden.”
Former President Donald Trump is seen by many to be the most likely to win the Republican Party’s nomination for the 2024 election, setting up a rematch between him and Biden. Recent polling for the next election found that Trump would narrowly beat out Biden, with Trump winning 44% of the vote against Biden’s 40%, according to a Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll released Saturday.
