A photo shared on Facebook allegedly shows an ad from Kamala Harris’s campaign for paid rally attendees. 

Verdict: False

This image does not show a genuine Harris ad. It was originally posted in 2019, claiming it showed a Trump ad at the time.

Fact Check: 

The Harris campaign posted Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social, to note how the Democratic National Convention (DNC) received higher ratings than that of the Republican National Convention (RNC), according to Newsweek. The campaign posted a screenshot of a headline from Rolling Stone which covers the topic, the article quoted Nielsen data that found the DNC outperformed the RNC in viewership,  the outlet reported.

An image shared on Facebook appears to show a Craigslist ad posted on behalf of the Harris campaign. “Actors needed (Phoenix Convention Center) Actors/help needed for event tomorrow from 2-11pm, $15 per hour. Duties include protest activity and holding signs that are Anti-Trump. Minorities welcome and needed! Looking to fill about 500 spots.”

Underneath this, additional text included in the image reads, “Kamala paying for Rally attendees She can’t fill a small living room with volunteers…so now she needs to pay ppl to attend her AI rally.”

This is not a genuine ad, however. The same image was originally posted to Facebook in 2019, allegedly calling for pro-Trump “actors.” The photo purporting to show a Harris ad has been edited to read “Anti-Trump” instead. PolitiFact debunked the image at the time, a Trump spokesperson telling the outlet that the ad is a part of a “recurring hoax.” (RELATED: Did Kamala Harris Unveil A National COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate?)

While Harris did in fact hold a rally in Arizona this month, it took place at the Desert Diamond Arena, not the Phoenix Convention Center, according to The Guardian.
