The claim stems from satire.
During an interview at the Economic Club of Chicago Trump declined to comment on the claims that he spoke with Russian President Vladimir Putin after leaving office, NBC News reported. This came after Woodward claims Trump has, to which Trump responded with saying it would be a “smart thing” if he had spoken to him, according to CBS News.
A post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, purports that Woodward claimed that Trump uses Depends. The post shared a screenshot of an alleged X post by Woodward making the claim.
The post reads, “Since Donald Trump is suing me I will reveal something I’ve never revealed before about a public figure. The scent-barrier on his Depends is completely insufficient.”
Woodward has recently released a book that features the former President, Slate reported. The book focuses on President Joe Biden, but Trump does make a “cameo,” according to the outlet.
This is not the first time misinformation surrounding the politicians has circulated online. Check Your Fact recently debunked a claim Mike Pence endorsed Kamala Harris for the 2024 election.
