Israel’s strikes in the Gaza Strip killed at least 87 people from Saturday into Sunday.
Hezbollah fired more than 170 rockets into Israel earlier Sunday and served as the basis for the IDF’s forthcoming counterstrike.
The offensive comes after Israel killed Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar last week. The war has taken a more aggressive turn over the past month after Israel deployed ground troops into Lebanon.
