WATCH LIVE: Obama rallies for Harris in North Carolina – Washington Examiner

Former President Barack Obama is addressing Vice President Kamala Harris’s supporters during a campaign event in Charlotte, North Carolina, on Friday evening.

The 44th president is set to speak at about 7:15 p.m. Eastern time, his remarks coming as data showed Harris was underperforming with black men, a key Democratic voting block.

Gov. Roy Cooper (D-NC) and Democratic gubernatorial candidate Attorney General Josh Stein are also speaking and in attendance.

Polling indicates former President Donald Trump holds a narrow edge over Harris in the battleground state with just 11 days until Nov. 5.

The last time a Democratic presidential candidate won North Carolina was when Obama flipped the state blue in 2008.
