Megyn Kelly says Harris should not win: ‘First female president cannot be this much of a moron’ – Washington Examiner

EXCLUSIVE — In the final hours of the 2024 election, Megyn Kelly said she “cannot stomach the thought” of Vice President Kamala Harris being the next president.

“What a god-awful president I think she would be. I think she is far too stupid to be president. I think she’s going to get us into a war that my 15-year-old will have to wind up fighting. I think she will set women back generations,” Kelly told the Washington Examiner. “The first female president cannot be this much of a moron. It will take generations for us to elect another one. It will get blamed on her being a woman, either explicitly or implicitly.”

“The first female president needs to be brilliant,” she continued. “Her intelligence, her poise, her strength need to be unassailable. And [Harris] is the opposite of that. This person is genuinely dumb. She is the opposite of a deep thinker. There is absolutely no substance to her. She is an avatar for leftist ideals, and she’s proven it.”

Despite having a “complicated relationship” with former President Donald Trump since they clashed in 2015 at the first Republican debate of the 2016 presidential campaign, the SiriusXM The Megyn Kelly Show host described herself as an “unabashed Trump supporter” now.

The Republican presidential primary debate, moderated by Chris Wallace (left), Megyn Kelly (center), and Bret Baier on Fox News, featured New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Ben Carson, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, former President Donald Trump, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY), and Ohio Gov. John Kasich. The debate was held at Quicken Loans Arena, Thursday, Aug. 6, 2015, in Cleveland, Ohio. (AP Photo/Andrew Harnik)

In addition to her concerns about Harris, Kelly shared that Trump’s “strong” policies, including his commitment to protecting women’s sports, are the reason she is backing him.

“It would make a huge difference if Trump just reversed the changes to Title IX and reversed what Biden did,” Kelly said. “But then, toughen them up to say, ‘this law does not allow boys to participate in girls sports.’”
