A Mini Bar That’s Worth the Money

The Sonos Beam Gen 2 is one of the most popular mini soundbars in a world of great soundbars. The bass is restrained, but dialog is ultra clear, virtualized Dolby Atmos expands the soundstage, and it doubles as a great music streamer. While the Sonos app has had its troubles of late, it seems to be mostly mended, letting you control the bar, adjust its sound to your room, and connect to other Sonos speakers in a multi-room or surround sound configuration. You’ll be amazed how much good stuff can come from such a small package, and it all sounds especially good on sale.

Putting the Fun in Golfing Fundamentals

Approach R10 Portable Golf Launch Monitor

Garmin’s miniature golf simulator seems almost too small and simple to work, yet work it does. Just set it up with the app, line up your ball, and let her rip. The little square face captures your ball in the air, routes its trajectory, and from there, the possibilities are almost limitless. Taking it to the driving range is a blast, letting you shoot over digital lakes toward virtual greens, all the while honing your skills as you swing. You can even set it to cut and shoot videos of each swing automatically. Adding a subscription takes things further, letting you call up thousands of digital courses, while third-party apps and accessories can help you turn your garage or basement into your own virtual course. The cold is coming for many of us, which makes the R10 a great gift for golfers and my ultimate companion for year-round golfing fun.

Forget Noise Canceling, Get Bose’s Noise Stranglers

Bose’s QuietComfort Ultra (9/10, WIRED Recommends) are the best noise-canceling headphones you can buy. I’m talking forget where you are, cars turned to whispers, walking on the moon quiet. They back that up with excellent sound quality, around 30 hours of battery life, and advanced features like virtualized 3D audio for stereo tracks. Their premium performance is matched by an equally luxe design, while their sleek and compact traveling case makes them easy to bring along. Even with a $430 launch price, these were still worthy of consideration among more affordable rivals, and on a good sale it’s even harder to pass these up. If you’re a frequent traveler or just need to find your quiet place, these cans let you bring it with you virtually anywhere.

Lego My Glove

I have never seen a single Marvel movie and I don’t have an special affinity for Legos but this Thanos Glove is cool as hell. This iconic Infinity Gauntlet ?) comes with Infinity Stones (?) and has a little display stand.

Take it from me: This piece stands on its own without knowledge of the lore behind it.

And what did it cost?

Everything $45.

A Wacky Soundbar with Performance That’s Anything But

The Bar 1300X (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is a wacky soundbar that serves up cool tricks and incredible sound. Its claim to fame is a design that includes battery-powered surround speakers that charge from the main bar, and detach when you need to place them in space. You can even bring them along with you as standalone Bluetooth speakers. But the really cool thing about the 1300X is how great it sounds, offering incredibly immersive Dolby Atmos performance that seems to drop you into the middle of your shows and movies. The app is solid, though I’d love a bit more ways to adjust. Otherwise, this is a killer system that’s more versatile than just about anything I’ve tested.

My Favorite, Impossibly Cozy Hoodie is Half Price

Cozy Earth Men’s Bamboo Hoodie

I live in this big, super-soft, lightweight bamboo hoodie and never want to take it off. Cozy Earth’s soft viscose bamboo fabric is smooth and oh-so comfy. It is fairly thin and light, drapes nicely, and has a big kangaroo pocket and roomy wrist cuffs. Somehow, it manages to be warm but also breathable, so I don’t get too hot, and it’s perfect for layering if you’re braving the winter cold. The hood with drawstring is a little small, but that helps it stay up on windy days. The only thing I don’t like is the price, but with a 50 percent discount for Black Friday, it is worth springing for. The women’s version is slightly different but just as comfy and made our best hoodies guide.

A Sweet Bluetooth Bomber for Music Anywhere

Ultimate Ears’ Boom 4 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is one of the best Bluetooth speakers around for great sound on the go. An update of the aging Boom 3, the Boom 4 brings USB-C charging and re-designed drivers. Otherwise, not much has changed here, as the speaker brings the same great sound we’ve relied on for years. It’s also got sweet features, including up to 15 hours of battery life, stereo pairing with other Boom 4 speakers, easy access controls, and a great app. If you’re after more bass, you may want to check out the larger model Megaboom 4. Otherwise, it’s hard to go wrong with a speaker that packs this kind of pedigree and performance.

Mask Up With These LEDs

White and gold facial mask on blue and purple chrome background

While I’m on the beauty beat we’ve got a dedicated post highlighting the best LED face mask deals we’ve seen this Black Friday.

We also have a detailed guide to the best LED face masks made after extensive testing. If I was going to use one—and I’m not—it would be the Currentbody, which is sadly not on sale, because it looks nice and soft.

Budget Buds That Floss Like Flagships

Soundcore’s Space A40 earbuds (8/10, WIRED Recommends) are killer budget earbuds that feel more like premium buds. They’re getting a little older, but the continually sinking price reflects that. You’ll get stylish design and a compact case, solid noise canceling and transparency mode, and surprisingly detailed sound. The fit is comfy, if not super snug, and while there’s no auto-pause sensors here, that’s about the only convenience feature not available. If you’re after a great pair of buds for yourself or the sound lover in your life, these are a great choice.

Slugs on Sale! Get Your Slugs on Sale!

A Lock to Keep Your Precious Bike Safe and Sound

In a world of battery-powered angle grinders, the bike with a grinder-resistant lock is king. I love this one from Litelok for several reasons, not the least of which is a lower price than many rivals. It’s also among the lighter options and, as a full-size U-lock, it works well with lots of bikes, including most eBikes. To be sure, there are higher-security locks out there, but a good lock is more about outlasting a crook’s determination and/or getting them to move on to the weaker lock next store. The X1 gives you that power, making it well worth the money for those with a pricey bike in a high-risk area.

The Softest Blanket in the World is 30 Percent Off for WIRED Readers

Sea to Me Carmel Cuddle Blanket

I’m a cozy connoisseur. A homey homie. When it comes to creature comforts, I am the creature. The Sea to Me Carmel Cuddle is the softest, plushest blanket I’ve ever felt. I might start wearing it like a cape around my house. It’s impossible to describe just how luxurious it feels. It’s like “The Creation of Adam” where one hand is me and the other hand is the blanket. I am always seeking to run my fingers through the deep, silky, minky fur. It’s made of polyester but I’m convinced there’s at least some magic involved. The 60×72-inch, seven-pound design is just right to snuggle up under when you’re watching a movie or reading a book. The only downside I’ve found in my hours of sleeping testing is that it’s quite expensive, but right now WIRED readers can save 30 percent on their entire order with code “WIRED30” which drops the price of this blanket down to $281 shipped. Just don’t come crying to me when you try it and realize that you have to replace all of your bedding with these blankets.

This concludes my own liveblog posting for this evening, but reinforcements are coming in to steer you through the night. The deals are still going strong and we’ll keep highlighting them here and on our main site. I’ll see y’all bright and early for Cyber Monday!

I Can’t Believe I Ever Used Another Streaming Stick

Once upon a time, I bought an Amazon Fire TV Stick. Which worked fine. Until one fateful day, when I wanted to add a second Amazon Prime account to my device so I could watch a movie my boyfriend had purchased. And I couldn’t do it unless I deregistered the device completely from my own account.

I got so mad that I paid full price and then some to have a Roku Streaming Stick 4K delivered right to my porch that very night. And I’m never going back. There’s a reason why this is our favorite streaming stick.

The Roku interface is dead simple to use, and you can even customize the screensaver and home screen background. There are some ads around, but they usually don’t feel too intrusive. It has volume buttons on the remote that are easy to find in the dark. And it has a ton of free channels where you can watch all of How It’s Made, Antiques Roadshow, and other shows that aren’t so gear-centric. (What can I say? It’s a lifestyle.) This price comes within $5 of the lowest we’ve seen. And perhaps best of all, you can log in to any service with whatever darn account you please.

The Manscaped Lawn Mower Shaved $35 Off Its Price

Manscaped’s endorsements from “the manliest of men” may be loud (hello, UFC sponsorships), but the Lawn Mower 5.0 Ultra speaks for itself. The 5.0 model includes an upgraded motor with skin-safe blades for a nick-free shave. It’s waterproof, making it perfect for a quick trim in the shower, and the long-lasting battery means no more mid-shave charging interruptions. If you’ve been eyeing this viral groin and body hair trimmer, now’s the time to snag it at a significant discount. We also like its Beard Hedger for a travel beard trimmer, on sale for $68 ($32 off).

If you’re in the market for more manly gifts for masculine men, boy, have we got a gift guide for you.

These Rugged Power Banks and Accessories Are Perfect for the Great Outdoors

Nestout Rugged Power Bank

If you’re off adventuring, camping in the wet, or paddling down a river somewhere, a rugged power bank could come in very handy indeed. You should check out the thoughtfully designed Nestout range from Elecom. These power banks have an IP67 rating, they have shock absorbers built-in, and they are dustproof. They also have standard tripod threading on the bottom, and you can snag dimmable lamp ($30) and light panel ($32) attachments that screw on top securely and are IP44 rated. There’s even a waterproof folding solar panel ($76) to keep the batteries topped up. After impressing me with its clever design and handy outdoor accessories, the Nestout Rugged Power Bank is going into our best portable chargers guide.

These Adorable Star-Shaped Pimple Patches are Only $10

Sometimes it’s hard to feel cute when you’ve got a breakout. Thankfully, Gen Z normalized wearing Hydro-Stars around without shame. These star-shaped hydrocolloid patches suck all the gross stuff out of a pimple, preventing picking and helping skin to heal more quickly. They’re safe for sensitive skin and come in a cute little mirrored compact. I use them when I get hormonal acne and I’m always amazed at how much flatter and calmer my skin is after a few hours of wearing one. You’ll get 32 star stickers in this pack for only ten bucks. And yes, these are perfectly sized for a stocking.

This Smart Baby Monitor Offers Peace of Mind

The Owlet Dream Duo is one of the best baby monitor bundles because it combines a traditional Cam 2 monitor with a “Dream Sock” wearable monitor. The Cam 2 captures video in 1080p, and the wearable monitor tracks baby’s heart rate, oxygen levels, and the bundle also tracks the nursery’s temperature, humidity levels, and noise levels. The companion smartphone app is required, but it’ll show you all sort of data about your baby’s sleep patterns. You can set up alerts for motion and noise as well. The camera can save clips, and it has night vision, 4X zoom, and two-way communication capabilities.

The Dream Sock is on sale individually if you’ve already got some cameras set up. Be sure to check out our list of gift ideas for new parents too!

Several of our Favorite Smart Bird Feeders are on Sale

Birdfy Bamboo Smart Bird Feeder

Our guide to the best smart bird feeders is getting a lot of traffic right now and several of the top picks are on sale, including the naturalistic Netvue Birdfy Bamboo Smart Bird Feeder which we deem the prettiest of the flock. Our second place pick from Netvue is on sale for just $144.

A Useful Auto-Tracking Charging Stand for FaceTimers or Content Creators

Belkin Auto-Tracking Stand Pro with DockKit

Belkin’s Stand Pro (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is one of the only accessories with Apple DockKit integration. This allows the iPhone’s camera to track your face, while the 360-degree base on the Stand Pro automatically moves to keep you in frame. I enjoy using it to FaceTime my friends while I’m cooking dinner or doing my makeup—it’s a far better alternative to propping my phone up against random objects and watching it inevitably topple over. But it’s also great for content creators who want to record TikTok videos hands-free. It has a built-in battery (that Belkin claims lasts up to five hours) as well, so it doesn’t always need to be plugged in. But you can also use the MagSafe charging pad on top to power up your iPhone.

Casio Meets GPS In This Simplified Golf Tracker

Approach S12 GPS Golf Watch

I wasn’t sure if this little monochromatic companion had the smarts to raise my game at first, but after taking it on the course a few times I was immediately impressed at its stealthy skills. Its digital screen looks old school, but offers excellent contrast so you can read it even in the blazing sun. It quickly links up with your phone and feeds the Garmin app, while its GPS system finds your closest course from over 40,000 options and gives range guidance for each hole. From there you can track multiple metrics, and even add Garmin’s club sensors to expand its skills. The biggest advantage of the S12 over smartwatch apps I’ve tried is its read of bunkers and hazards, letting you judge your layups or longshots without ever glancing at a course card again.
