Cyber Monday Deals Tracked Live From Cyberspace

Ancestry’s DNA Kit is on Super Sale

AncestryDNA Genetic Test Kit

A lot of people have reasonable objections to sending their DNA off to a for-profit company to use as it wants. My long-held doomer belief—which does not reflect the opinions of the WIRED editorial staff or Reviews team at large—is that they’re going to get it anyway so you might as well figure out if you have cousins in Sicily.

This is a massive discount on the Ancestry DNA kit. I’ve done both this and 23andMe (again: eh, whatever) and Ancestry is the better one because of how it ties to the rest of the site’s info.

The Tech Deals Keep on Coming

WIRED is first and foremost a tech publication so it stands to reason that we would put a lot of energy into tracking Cyber Monday tech deals on drones and laptops and the like. And so we have.

While it is not on sale, for some reason this post just makes me think about how much I could use that new iPhone 16. If only there were somewhere to get it for free from a carrier… wait a second, maybe there is!

The Best Smart Christmas Light is Half Off

We just launched a fresh guide to the best smart Christmas lights and the Twinkly Light is the top pick with our reviewer especially liking the the candy cane stripe effect. The discount shown is nearly 50% off but if you clip the coupon it drops the price another $10.

This Polaroid Camera is On Sale

Polaroid Now+ Generation 2 – Camera + Film Bundle

Everyone likes old cameras now. Vintage digital cameras are currently the trendiest but Polaroid never goes out of style and this bundle would make a great gift for a teen who is interested in film.

Welcome back, everyone! The WIRED Reviews team has spent the last coupleof days checking and updating prices on all of our seasonal deals content and now that it’s Cyber Monday we’re back to blogging. We’ve just updated our list of the absolute best Cyber Monday deals (formerly Black Friday deals) and we’ll be here all day sharing discounts on products our full-time professional reviewers have actually tested.

You All Are Still Here for Some Reason

According to the experts at [REDACTED] this page is still getting traffic. What are you all doing with your Saturday morning? The same thing as us, of course. And your deal-hunting instincts are correct because there are plenty of great deals to be had in this liminal space between now and Cyber Monday.

We’re going to keep working behind the scenes on powering up for Cyber Monday, so this liveblog won’t consistently be feeding the latest deals right to your little sunshine-filled-faces until Monday morning. But our deals roundups will be updated through the weekend. Why not take a gander at the recently-refreshed list of the Best Tech Deals?

The Absolute Best Lives On As The Liveblog Logs Off

We wrapped the liveblog at midnight Eastern but we’ll be updating our list of the absolute best Black Friday deals throughout the weekend. And then we’ll be back for more liveblogging on Cyber Monday. Have a great weekend everyone!

A Cure For the Portless Computer

As we wind down our Black Friday Liveblog, I’m pouring one out for the death of the laptop port. I used to rail against the fact that modern (Apple) laptops have barely any connection options. Now I’m older and tireder (no, that is not a word), so I just live with it and plug in a USB hub like this Satechi 8-in-1 multiport. You’ll get five USB-C ports, Ethernet, HDMI, and even an SD Slot, so grab it while it’s hot. Then it’s time to put down your device, relax, and get some rest for the morning. There are more deals to be had! Don’t forget to tune in to Wired for all our weekend deals posts and the grand return of our Liveblog for Cyber Monday.

One Charger to Power Them All

Belkin 3-in-1 Qi2 Charging Stand

I just drove across three states for Thanksgiving with the in-laws, and ended up having to fight the Black Friday crowds because I left my Apple Watch charger sitting on my nightstand (and I am apparently now addicted to my Apple Watch). If I’d simply bought this Belkin 3-in-1 charger ahead of time, my original charger would have been pre-packed in my travel bag and my mild annoyance could have been completely avoided. Seriously, though, this thing is sweet and I might have to buy it.

This Sleep Mask is A Travel Essential

I’m convinced that I have some sort of generational curse that makes it impossible for me to get a good night’s sleep. In a quiet room, my insomnia rages. On nights where my brain is quiet, my environment isn’t. The Manta Sound Sleep Mask takes care of two birds with one…mask. The C-shaped eye cups completely black out any light without adding pressure to my eyes. And the built-in superthin Bluetooth headphones let me pipe the sounds of Vancouver Sleep Clinic directly to my ears, drowning out my partner’s snoring without disturbing him. The mask is washable and the volume controls are easy to find. It’s a one-two knockout, literally. Find more recommendations in our gift guide.

A Sonos Speaker That Goes With You Everywhere

What’s better than a fantastic-sounding Bluetooth speaker? How about one that also offers Wi-Fi support to connect with a home audio setup? That’s the beauty of the Sonos Roam 2 (9/10, WIRED Recommended), which may just be the most versatile portable speaker you can buy. It’s got the durability of a Bluetooth speaker, including the ability to be dropped in water for short spells, yet it also works great as a homebound companion, able to connect with other Sonos speakers in a multi-room audio system. The latest version adds a convenient new Bluetooth speaker that makes it much easier to take it to and from your adventures. With a sale price similar to most regular ‘ole Bluetooth speakers, it’s a sweet deal that’s tough to pass up.

Not Just A Pretty (Watch) Face

Google’s Pixel Watch 3 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) is unquestionably beautiful to gaze upon, but it’s also got the smarts and skills to back up its good looks. It earns its spot as the best Android Smartwatch thanks to accurate health and fitness features, great integration with Google apps, a bigger and more convenient 45mm face, and breezy usability with any Android phone. If you’re an Android user with Apple Watch envy, this little beauty just might be the cure.

So Many Good Percale Sheets Are On Sale

Buffy Supima Cotton Percale Sheets

A year ago, I would’ve told you I hated percale sheets. I like a soft sheet, and percale is known for being crispy, if not stiff. It’s due to the one-over-one thread pattern, compared to softer sateen sheets that use a three-over-one thread style that makes it softer. But the one-over-one is much more breathable, making percale an ideal sheet if you’re a hot sleeper like I am.

For my fellow soft-sheet fans who are tired of sweating, the universe heard us and there’s all kinds of fantastic, soft percale sheets that launched this year. Two sets of percale sheets I adore are on sale right now: Buffy’s Supima Cotton Percale Sheet Set, which you can find for 20% off with the rest of Buffy’s site, and Saatva’s Percale Sheet Set, which you can get 10% off of with this coupon link. I’d say don’t sleep on these, but you should—they’re soft and breathable, and everyone should literally be sleeping on them.

This Jacket Will Turn Me Into a Zombie-Battling Small Man

I don’t really know what to do about the fact that ever since reviewer Scott Gilbertson told me about this waxed trucker jacket (now featured in our Gifts for Manly Men), I have wanted the women’s version. I want it. I want people to get confused when they see me next to pictures of Pedro Pascal in The Last of Us. “Who is that small, small man?” I want them to say. I can almost hear them now.

Cold Plunges Will Ease What Ails You

Sun Home Cold Plunge

Cold Plunge

I just discovered cold plunging. I get why people like it—it’s kind of exhilarating to do something so unpleasant!—but I’m not sure I’m a convert quite yet. Reviewer Martin Cizmar tested Sun Home’s sturdy premium version, which is the only one of the ones we tested that’s able to go as low as 33 degrees (eeek!). All of Sun Home’s offerings are $600-$800 off right now; I’ll shortly be testing a sauna and hope to have better, warmer results.

Sony’s Best Wireless Headphones At Their Best Price Ever

Sony’s WH-1000XM5 (9/10, WIRED Recommends) provide a sweet balance of performance and features worthy of the company’s flagship wireless headphones. You’ll get excellent sound, great noise canceling, and Sony’s best sound and usability features, all in a slick and comfy design. I especially love the quick-pause transparency mode, which lets you hold your hand on the ear cup to briefly pause your TV show, song, or podcast and let in exterior sounds to hear announcements or make a drink order. All of the touch controls are responsive and intuitive, creating a premium experience. My only knock on these cans is they don’t fold down completely like the previous model, making them a bit harder to pack. On the other hand, the case is slimmer, so they’re still easy to take along, and even easier to love—especially at this price.

Cuyana’s Travel Beauty Case Is $60 Off

Cuyana Travel Beauty Case

If you like high-end yet understated travel accessories, you’ll love Cuyana’s pebbled leather travel beauty case. We tested it for our guide to the Best Toiletry Bags and were impressed with how securely the case stored makeup—even a fall from 5 feet onto hard tile didn’t dislodge a single ounce of eyeshadow. It’s available in black, pink, or ecru and comes wrapped in a fabric dustbag, perfect for gifting.

A Flexible Bar That’s Got the Goods Where It Counts

Klipsch’s Flexus Core 200 (8/10, WIRED Recommends) sounds way too good to be this cheap. This bar doesn’t offer fancy extras like Wi-Fi streaming for AirPlay or Spotify Connect playback, but it’s got the goods where it counts. You’ll get clear and bruting sound from its MDF-constructed frame, including true upfiring drivers to spin around Dolby Atmos height effects. As the Flexus name implies, this bar can change up its vibe by allowing you to add surround sound speakers and a massive Klipsch subwoofer for a full multi-piece audio system. Even on its own, the Flexus is a contender, providing some of the best soundbar performance you can buy for the money.

A Sweet Tablet That’s Not From Apple

When everybody zigs, sometimes it feels good to zag. Case in point, the OnePlus Pad 2. This is not an iPad, confusing name aside, but it just so happens to be our favorite tablet that doesn’t follow the Apple way. You’ll get smooth performance, a bright 12.1-inch LCD screen, and snappy response thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset (see what I did there?). Our favorite part about the Pad 2 is OpenCanvas, which lets you multitask with up to three apps onscreen at once. Mobile reviewer and Senior Commerce Editor Julian Chokkattu says that makes it the best Android tablet for catching up on your favorite streaming shows while flying through emails in bed. What more could you ask for?

Clip-on Great Sound Wherever You Go

JBL’s latest Clip Bluetooth speaker is another exercise in convenience. Its titular clip and IP67 weatherproofing allow it to stand in as a perfect shower speaker, but its warm and detailed performance suggests it’s meant for much more. I’ve clipped the speaker on everything from a tree on a camping trip to my belt loop for yard work. It offers 12 hours of battery (up to 15 hours in the extended mode), while JBL’s app makes it easy to adjust the sound or connect it with dozens of other speakers for a Bluetooth party. Its rugged construction and excellent performance make it a great buy, especially on a good sale.
