Tsunami Warning For NorCal and Oregon Canceled After Officials Cause Panic and Traffic Jam with Evacuation Order Following Massive Earthquake

A tsunami warning was issued after a very powerful earthquake struck Northern California on Thursday.

A magnitude 7.3 earthquake struck Humboldt County at approximately 10:44 am PST.

There have been several sizable aftershocks, including a magnitude 5.2 earthquake.

An evacuation was underway after officials issued a tsunami warning for coastal areas in Oregon and Northern California.

There was a traffic jam on highway 1 after residents were told to evacuate and get away from the coast.

WATCH:

Less than 30 minutes later, the tsunami warning was canceled.

Conservative radio host and best-selling author Michael Savage, a Bay Area resident, went off on California officials for causing a panic with the tsunami warning.
