WATCH: CNN’s Van Jones Admits “Donald Trump is Smarter Than All of Us… We Look Like Idiots!”
CNN commentator and former Obama advisor Van Jones admitted during a recent podcast appearance that President Trump is “smarter” than “all of his critics” and that he made the entire Democrat party and Democrat media complex “look like idiots.”
These remarks came during an interview posted to political commentator Chris Cillizza’s YouTube channel on Friday. Cillizza agreed with Jones’ assessment that “we look like idiots,” commenting, “You’re totally right.”
Jones’ revelation is in response to Trump defying all attempts to steal the 2024 election with a sweeping victory on November 5, winning every swing state, 312 electoral votes, the national popular vote, and both chambers of Congress. Cillizza was dumbfounded that Trump was able to build such a movement and “figure out the mainstream media is the fringe,” but Jones set him straight.

Cillizza: How the hell did Donald Trump figure out the mainstream media is the fringe, and the fringe is now the mainstream? How did Donald Trump figure out— I mean, Joe Rogan is obvious, right? Like, we knew the guy had a big audience. It’s not like we were, like, stunned, but like, how the hell was he, the 78 year old guy who doesn’t even have a computer and still like writes handwritten notes– how did he become the guy who cracked the code on, to your point, running a cultural, I don’t even want to say campaign running a movement, heading a cultural movement versus a campaign?
Jones: Every one of your people knows Elon, Elon, Elon, Elon. Listen, everybody keeps, I mean, the problem is, you have a framework in your mind that, how could Donald Trump? How could Donald Trump? How can Donald Trump? Guys, can we cut it out? Donald Trump is not an idiot. Donald Trump, let me just be very clear: Donald Trump is smarter than me, you, and all of his critics. You know how I know? Because he has the White House, the Senate, the House, the support, the popular vote. He has a massive media ecosystem bigger than the mainstream built around him and for him and a religious fervor in a political movement around him, and his best buddy is the richest person in the history of the world, and the most relevant Kennedy is with him. This dude is, is a phenomenon. He is the most powerful human on Earth and in our lifetime. And we’re still saying, Well, how is this guy… We look like idiots to ordinary people.

This is the second time Jones has blasted his liberal colleagues as “idiots” recently.
Days after Trump’s historic victory, Jones gave an accurate assessment of the election, commenting, “We thought that they [MAGA] were idiots. It turned out we [Democrats and leftwing media] were idiots.”
You know it's bad when the Democrats are calling themselves idiots.
