Donald Trump Jr. and Trump Allies Arrive in Greenland Amid Trump’s Proposal to Purchase Island (VIDEO)
Donald Trump Jr. and other Trump allies have traveled to Greenland, an autonomous territory of Denmark, amid renewed interest from President-elect Donald Trump in acquiring the Arctic island.
Trump posted the following video of their arrival, commenting, “Don Jr. and my Reps landing in Greenland.”
As The Gateway Pundit reported, on Monday, Trump announced that a delegation of Donald Trump Jr. and “various representatives,” said Trump, planned to travel to Greenland as Trump has signaled his desire to purchase the territory for the United States.
According to a Greenlandic government official, Trump Jr.’s visit is personal, with no planned meetings with government officials or political figures.
However, there are unconfirmed reports that he might meet with Erik Jensen, head of Greenland’s ruling party, AP reported.
According to Fox News, Trump Jr. intends to create video content for his podcast during the trip.
Greenland’s Prime Minister Mute Egede has recently emphasized his desire to pursue independence from Denmark, its former colonial ruler, as Trump ramps up . Previously, Prime Minister Egede pushed back on Trump’s proposal to purchase Greenland, saying the island “will never be for sale.”
Trump posted photos from the trip showing Trump’s incoming Presidential Personnel Office head, Sergio Gor; his son, Don Jr.; and Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, standing in front of Greenland’s Statue of Hans Egede, as well as photos of Don Jr. with locals wearing MAGA hats.
“Don Jr. and my Reps landing in Greenland. The reception has been great. They, and the Free World, need safety, security, strength, and PEACE! This is a deal that must happen. MAGA. MAKE GREENLAND GREAT AGAIN!” said Trump in an earlier post when the group arrived.
