BREAKING NEWS: United States Activates TikTok Ban Starting Sunday
The U.S. government has confirmed that the TikTok ban will take effect this Sunday as part of a measure to protect national security from alleged espionage risks posed by ByteDance, the app’s Chinese parent company.

App stores will be required to remove the app, preventing new downloads within the country. Existing users may continue using it temporarily, but additional restrictions could be imposed soon. According to the Department of Commerce, the decision is necessary to safeguard the data of U.S. citizens from unauthorized access by the Chinese government.
Social media platforms are buzzing with reactions. Influencers and content creators are lamenting economic losses and the limitation of their reach on a platform that has revolutionized the digital industry. Many are already migrating to alternatives like Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts to maintain their market presence.
Others are reportedly interested in acquiring the platform themselves:

TikTok has announced plans to evaluate legal options to challenge the decision. In a statement, the company emphasized that the security of user data remains a top priority and reiterated that the accusations against it lack foundation.
The ban adds to ongoing political tensions between the U.S. and China, with some analysts linking the move to Donald Trump’s strategy to prioritize national security and curb the influence of Chinese tech companies:

Notably, our outlet has faced censorship on TikTok, as the platform often favors superficial entertainment over truthful news reporting. This demonstrates a strong stance against those who limit free speech while promoting low-value content.

WHAT HAPPENED to being able to communicate in SPANISH, here?
Tik Tok, like Youtube, is a web site with an app front-end for each of the major mobile platforms. Banning the app (the bit that allegedly does the spying, apparently) is not the same as banning the site. Use it in your phone’s browser until someone creates (If they have not already) an alternative app front-end. Or better yet, realize that short form videos in portrait format are stupid and abandon it.
Boss, Get RID of the chinese propaganda site.
On that day the national IQ will jump 30 points.
TikTok is a goldmine for the CIA to illegally spy on citizens, while blaming China. It’s not going anywhere. Also, this Hispanic site needs to go. Almost everything posted here is relevant to people of all ethnicities.
