We live in a dangerous world. Crime seems to be everywhere, whether it be petty robbery, heinous rape, or murder. And yet many officials running our biggest cities ignore it in the name of some misplaced idea of justice.
So is it any surprise that citizens with the power to do so increasingly take the law into their own hands?
The Daily Caller’s new original documentary, “Pedo Hunters,” follows activist-vigilantes Joshua and Jay as they track down the nation’s sickest criminals: alleged pedophiles. But as they found out the hard way, sometimes a cornered pedo decides to fight back.
“Pedo Hunters” is available exclusively to Daily Caller subscribers. Catch a first glimpse below.
First, the Daily Caller uncovered the true cost of the Defund the Police movement in “Lawless.” Then “Rigged” exposed the issue Democrats fear most: how their political machine managed to secure Joe Biden the presidency in 2020. Now, with “Pedo Hunters,” the Daily Caller’s investigative team takes a wild ride-along on five “hunts.”
Meet Josh and Jay: their viral tale of vigilante justice begins with feeling powerless against a system they say failed them.
Josh originally wanted to be a teacher, but when he sat down in a college course next to a man he says sexually assaulted his stepdaughter — who the system let walk free — he decided a career change was in order. He decided to take the law into his own hands.
Jay says he experienced sexual assault as a child himself. But when he confronted his alleged abuser as an adult, things quickly turned ugly. (RELATED: Vigilante Pedo Hunters Claim More Pedophiles In The Community Than They Ever Imagined)
Both men are united in their love for their children and being “tired of waiting for the police.” In 2021, they decided to form DAP: “Dad’s Against Predators.” They now make hunting would-be pedos a full-time job, recording their “hunts” and posting them on YouTube.
You’ve likely seen clips of these videos, which have racked up millions of views. Josh and Jay troll dating apps to lure would-be pedos out from behind their screens into the open with the sickening promise of a good time. Sometimes, the men on the other end of the screen need some coaxing; that’s where AI generated photos and videos come in. Once the men are aware their intended prey is just 13, the real hunt begins.
Josh and Jay set a time to meet in public, like a CVS or a Target store, and confront their prey with the vile messages. Often, the men try to deny the accusations as the duo begin a public shaming: “This man is a pedophile,” they yell to the entire store. But if the man gets physical, Josh, Jay and their supporting muscle to quickly bring on a beatdown. From there, situations can escalate as quickly as you’d imagine.
One time, a predator even pulled a gun.
“This guy, he was talking crazy, talking nasty, talking to what he thought was a little 13 year old girl,” Jay explains. So they set up a meeting at Target.
“We see him walking around, so just like any other catch . . . we approach him,” but things immediately turn violent.
The man reaches for Josh’s recording device, and “within a split second, he just grabbed his gun out and just raised it up.”
As Josh goes to recover his phone, Jay lunges for the gun. “By the time I [turn around], I see him and my partner Jay fighting for the gun,” Josh explains. “It looks like a movie, like ‘Diehard,’ and the gun’s in the air and they’re just spinning around.”
In the scuffle, “the gun went off twice. ” Jay had been hit in the leg.
“The first thing I thought to do was stand up,” Jay explains. “I was shot in the leg . . . at that moment, I’m telling myself, if I can stand up, I’m fine.” But the gun had fallen to the floor, so the two men grabbed it and ran.
That wasn’t the end, though. The predator pursued, launching an hour-long, bloody car chase that came close to ending in disaster. Watch “Pedo Hunters” today to find out what happened when Josh and Jay finally pulled over.
