BREAKING NEWS: Censorship in France! The government shuts down C8, the most-watched conservative channel, this is a blow to freedom.

France has shut down the C8 television channel, the leader in digital terrestrial television (DTT) viewership, accused by the regulatory authority ARCOM of «failing to comply with broadcasting regulations» due to its lack of «diversity» and alleged excesses in its programming. This is how harshly the truth is being persecuted in France.

The channel, owned by conservative magnate Vincent Bolloré, will cease broadcasting permanently on Friday, February 28, silencing a critical voice that attracted over 9 million daily viewers.

The decision, confirmed by the Council of State after rejecting C8’s appeal, has sparked a storm of criticism. Marine Le Pen, leader of the National Rally party, denounced: «This is a terrible regression that validates the ayatollahs of uniform thinking.»

C8, known for the controversial show Touche pas à mon poste by Cyril Hanouna, had been fined over 7.5 million euros in recent years by ARCOM, which accused it of failing to respect individual rights.

These sanctions are nothing more than an excuse to eliminate a platform that challenges the dominant progressive narrative.

The shutdown not only kills a critical voice but also leaves 400 employees out of work—a social blow the left seems to ignore.

International voices have also reacted. Some on social media recall the words of U.S. Vice President-elect JD Vance regarding censorship in Europe, suggesting that this case proves him right.

Publications like The European Conservative have warned of a “dangerous precedent” for press freedom.

This is a historic injustice, and the left celebrates it as a victory against extremism. However, C8’s closure raises a disturbing question: Who decides which voices deserve to be heard in a democracy?

The shutdown of C8 is the ultimate proof that conservative media is under attack.

Today, the left imposes its narrative—straying from the progressive script is not just risky; it’s a direct ticket to silence. This must stop!

Today it’s C8; tomorrow, it could be any voice daring to challenge the steamroller of political correctness. Freedom of speech does not die in one stroke—we remain standing, speaking the TRUTH.
