Elon Musk spontaneously announced on Tuesday that he plans to double U.S. manufacturing and output for Tesla as an “act of faith in America.”

President Trump cheered the announcement, calling it a “big deal” before having Musk explain his future plans with self-driving cars.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump purchased a Tesla on Tuesday and had it delivered to the White House. He said it was done to “make a statement” on behalf of Elon Musk, who is facing backlash and violence from the radical left for uncovering billions in waste, fraud, and abuse in federal spending.

While the President and Tesla CEO spoke to the press, Musk said, "I have an announcement to make" and credited "the great policies of President Trump and his administration" for his promise to double U.S. Tesla output over the next two years.

This comes after the President announced a new $100 billion investment in U.S. chip manufacturing by Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC).

President Trump has secured nearly $2 trillion in U.S. manufacturing investments by various companies since taking office less than two months ago.
