EXCLUSIVE — House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) raised over $1.1 million last quarter, raking in donations from all 50 states as his national profile has grown through his investigations into President Joe Biden and his family.

According to campaign finance numbers provided to the Washington Examiner, Comer raised a total of $1.13 million last quarter, with 85% of his fundraising totals coming from more than 33,200 small-dollar donations of $250 or less.

People in all 50 states donated to the Kentucky Republican, who has become a household name since Republicans took over the House and opened up investigations and an impeachment inquiry into the president.

Comer currently has no challengers in the 2024 election.

His position as chairman of the Oversight Committee has led to a number of national television hits, making him a more known figure nationally. Because of this, Comer has been asked to travel to his colleagues’ districts to headline fundraisers and events, playing a role in his increased fundraising numbers.

“Thousands of Americans from every state in this country support Congressman Comer’s efforts to hold the Biden Administration accountable and root out waste, fraud, and abuse in the federal government,” said Caroline Cash, spokeswoman for Comer’s campaign. “Going forward, Congressman Comer is well positioned to advance the interests of Kentucky’s First Congressional District and assist House Republicans as we strive to implement conservative priorities.”

Outside of his personal campaign account, Comer also raised $81,000 for his COMER-KY Leadership PAC.

Last quarter, he transferred $178,000 to the National Republican Congressional Committee, and he currently has $1.77 million cash on hand.

Previously, in the second quarter of this year, Comer raised just over $701,000.

Comer, along with two other chairmen, are leading an impeachment inquiry into Biden and his connection to his family’s foreign business dealings.

Through his investigation, he has uncovered that when Biden was vice president, he spoke with his son Hunter Biden’s business associates on speaker phone at least 20 times over the span of a decade and met with people paying his son on two different occasions at Cafe Milano in Washington, D.C.

“We have caught Joe Biden in countless lies about his knowledge and involvement in his family’s shady business schemes,” Comer said on Hannity last month. “This could potentially be the biggest political scandal in my adult lifetime.”
