Amazon Prime Day Rolls On—We’re Still Tracking Deals and Trends Live

Juicers have undergone a revolution in recent years, mostly by revolving more slowly. Unlike fast-spinning, centrifugal, blender-style juicers, a new wave of mostly Korean-made cold press juicers uses an auger that revolves maybe only once a second or so. These masticating juicers literally chew up your fruit, then press juice through a sieve.

Maybe it’s a little slower, but it’s better: Slow juicers wring more juice from each fruit, and are especially better at pulling juice from softer fruits and greens. You can tell they’re better, because the pulp is a lot less wet, and the juice is juicier. The downside is that these slow juicers tend to be expensive, and a bit bulky.

Well, this is the best compact slow juicer I know, at the best price I’ve seen it. The Nama J3 is still new enough I haven’t seen it on sale much at all, in fact, and this is a great buy at $90 off list price. Its bigger cousin, the Nama J2, is also on sale for Prime Day.

This Is Your Barber’s Favorite Beard Trimmer

Wahl

Black Peanut Clipper/Trimmer

Half the barbers I know tell me the same thing, when I ask them for their favorite beard trimmers: Just stop thinking so hard, and get a Wahl Peanut. The classic Peanut, from Wahl’s Pro line, is a classic for a reason. It shaves close but not too close. Its rotary motor is a little tank that lasts forever. It’s corded, which means no battery to slowly stop taking charge. There are no doo-dads, no dials, no added failure points. Just a high-quality blade and four trimmer guards, on a wee lightweight trimmer you can wield with your fingers instead of in your palm.

It’ll last you for years if you keep it oiled. It might pull on some wispy hairs on occasion, if you’re a merely occasional shaver. But it won’t nick or cut you. And it’ll keep on plugging. It’s not overpriced even on a bad day—but right now it’s 20 percent off.

Note you can get a new travel-ready, cordless version of Peanut Li (7/10, WIRED Recommends) with great battery life, more juice in its motor, and the same classic blade. It’s not on sale as of Tuesday evening, but unlike the pleasantly goofy-looking classic, the new Li looks… almost fashionable?

Snag The New Kid (I Mean, Vac) On the Block

Bissell

PowerClean Fur Finder

After testing tons of stick vacuums, my favorite non-Dyson is Bissell’s newest vacuum, the Bissell PowerClean Fur Finder. It does a great job on all kinds of surfaces—carpeted stairs! my massive living room rug! dusty bathroom tile!—and the included pet brush did a fantastic job cleaning up my cat’s fur-encrusted cat tower.

I honestly can’t remember the last time I vacuumed his tower, and I’m so sorry to my little buddy. He’s living a cleaner life now thanks to the Bissell, and it’s a great choice for both pet parents and anyone else who wants a good all-around stick vacuum. Even better? Not only is it new, but it’s on sale right now. Don’t miss out.

WIRED’s Favorite High-Performance Blender Is Finally on Sale

Vitamix 5200 blender

There’s a word that soothes the smoothie lover, warms the heart of the soup hound, and butters up the nut butter-er. And that word is “Vitamix.” Vitamix has never been the cheapest brand among WIRED’s favorite blenders. But generations of chefs have trusted it as a high-performance, reliable titan of blending. I swear, there’s even a whole category of WIRED Review devoted to serious home chefs who weren’t blender people until they tried a Vitamix.

But as every Vitamix devotee knows, always wait for the good sale. Well, this is the good sale.

This particular Vitamix 5200 is the blender that made WIRED reviewer Joe Ray into a blender person. The 5200 is the no-nonsense, high-powered flagship of Vitamix—a reliable standby that has proudly adorned a great number of swanky kitchen islands for years. It’s a terrific blender, at a very low price right now.

Note that the Propel Series 750 Blender, which offers preset blending programs for dips and soups and smoothies, is also on sale for a great deal this Prime Day.

These Refurbished M1 Macs Are Insanely Cheap

Macbook Air

MacBook Air (M1, 2020)

You’ve got to be careful with refurbished products. It’s not that Amazon doesn’t do a thorough job with its Renewed program, it’s that they aren’t always cheap enough to be worth the compromise of not buying something newer. That’s why in most cases, I recommend people just buy new.

But at a certain level, prices can drop so much that they’re undeniable. That’s the situation currently with the M1 MacBook Air (9/10, WIRED Recommends). This thing has been hanging around for almost five years now—and for good reason. It was a game-changing laptop when it came out, primarily because of just how good the M1 chip was. You can still buy it for new at Walmart, but when this refurbished model is selling for almost half as much, it’s hard to deny. Now, you shouldn’t be buying this laptop expecting it to be as good as a MacBook from 2025, of course, but for a student or just a basic at-home laptop, it should more than suffice.

And while we’re talking about refurbished Macs, there’s also the M1 Mac mini to consider, which is selling for even less—just $260. It would make a killer little living room PC or secondary computer, just be aware that for both the MacBook Air and Mac mini, you’re stuck with only 256 GB of storage and can’t configure it higher.

The Crispiest Toaster Oven I Know—At One of the Best Prices I’ve Seen

Cuisinart TOA-70 Air Fryer Oven and Grill sitting on a white table in front of a brick wall

Photograph: Matthew Korfhage

Cuisinart

TOA-70 Air Fryer Oven and Grill

This Cuisinart TOA-70 is the air fryer equivalent of a sleeper agent. It looks like a toaster oven. It toasts like a toaster oven—a charmingly analog toaster oven, with dials instead of digital displays. But this little stainless steel number is the only oven-style air fryer oven I know whose powerful fan will crisp up wings every bit as crackly as you can get from a basket fryer. Its Foreman Grill-style ridged griddle insert means you can also char and crisp up some breasts and legs using direct heat. Everything. Is. So. Crispy. Yesssssssssssss.

The downside, and the upside, it that it’s not nonstick, unlike many accessory ovens and fryers on the market. This means no worry about the nonstick coating coming off, which is great. But you might end up wanting some cleaning advice. Anyway, every time this thing goes on sale for much less than $200, I consider it one of the best bargains on the market. Right now, that price is a lot closer to $150.

A Portable Subwoofer That Changes the Game

Front view of Brane X, a black oval shaped speaker with handle on top and icons on top sitting in woodchips beside small plants

Photograph: Ryan Waniata

The Brane X (9/10, WIRED Recommends) is unlike any other portable speaker I’ve tested because of one thing: RAD. I’m not talking about the adjective or even the nostalgic BMX movie. In this case, RAD is an acronym for Repel Attract Driver, the technology behind the Brane X that provides a true, fully operational subwoofer inside a speaker the size of a lunchbox.

Using a specialized magnetic spring system that cancels internal air pressure forces, the speaker hits hard in the deep bass, well below anything else I’ve tested at its size, while also delivering clean and clear treble and midrange frequencies from a multi-driver system above. Add in both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, solid software, and up to 12 hours of battery, and you’ve got real home theater punch in a portable package.

A sub-to-go isn’t just great for 808s and kick drums; it brings authentic, deep grooves to everything from Anderson.Paak to Springsteen. The price is the one thing that separates the Brane from no-brainer, but especially on sale, the Brane X is well worth considering for those who crave powerful, emotionally impactful sound on the run.

The Best-Looking, Lightweight Cast Iron Skillet is On Sale

Field Company

No. 8 Cast Iron Skillet

Field Company’s skillets aren’t just skillets. They’re works of art, noted WIRED reviewer Scott Gilbertson in his guide to the best cast iron pans. The No. 8 is a lightweight 10-incher, big enough for most skillet needs but light enough you can maneuver it without advanced weight training. After year of use, Gilbertson still hasn’t had to re-season the thing. And it’s just kinda beautiful, with a smooth finish that makes its suface a close second to non-stick.

It’s 20 percent off for Prime Day—a rare find. But if you need bigger, the 12-inch No. 10 skillet is also on sale for Prime Day.

This Coffee Machine Keeps Your Coffee Warm Without Making it Taste Bad

Ratio Six Coffee Maker Series 2 on a small white table with a brick wall behind it

Ratio

Six Coffee Maker Series 2

The Ratio Six’s teardrop top and trapezoidal double-stack of carafe and brewing chamber can make it look like an exhibit in a mid-century design museum. But prettiness aside, this drip coffee maker produces some of the most full-bodied coffee I know—a firm rebuke to anyone’s memory of the burnt drip coffee of yesteryear. And it does so without any futzing: A single button-press does the job of pure deliciousness.

Anyway, the Six Series 2 is my favorite drip coffee maker with a thermal carafe. This 8-cup carafe will keep your coffee at drinking temperature for literal hours, without the indignity of a warming plate that slowly makes your coffee taste terrible. And it’s more than $50 off for Prime Day.

Note that the forthcoming update to Ratio’s other, even fancier drip coffee maker, the Ratio Eight, is also on sale on Ratio’s website for pre-sale, and ships this fall. I’ve been testing an early production model of the Eight Series 2 at home, and the results have been better than nifty.

This One’s for All My Break Your Boyfriend’s Heart Girls

Sol de Janeiro

Hair & Body Perfume Mist

Sol de Janeiro sells the juiciest of scents. The OG ’62 smells like gelato in the summer, with notes of pistachio, salted caramel, and vanilla. The ’59 is a flirty mist of vanilla orchid, sugared violet, and sheer sandalwood. The ’40 smells warm—think black amber plum, jasmine blooms, and vanilla woods. I stash the 3-ounce bottles everywhere: my gym bag, beach tote, and my carry-on. These are the kind of fragrances that strangers will stop you on the street to ask about (sorry). I’m thinking my next one will be the dragon fruit-scented ‘68. Or maybe the caramelized ’71. The coconut-infused ’87 also sounds really nice. Man, I don’t know, I’m just a girl.

The Best Carry-On Luggage Is Currently On Sale

Image may contain: Luggage, and Suitcase

Photograph: Away

Away changed the entire market for carry-on luggage when it launched in 2015. Carry-ons used to be boring, staid things with names like “Samsonite” or “Briggs & Riley.” The company took its marketing cues from companies like Warby Parker to make carry-ons fun, cute, and exciting accessories, in addition to helpful travel companions.

My personal favorite Away carry-on is the softside, which hides an additional pocket in the fabric covering. But the polycarbonate version is classic and many WIRED staffers use it as their travel bag. It’s currently on sale for $220, down from $275.

The Best Nootropic Mushroom Coffee Is Nearly Half Off

Best Mushroom Coffee, Lucid Brand, Coffee in green cup

Lucid

Nootropic + Mushroom Coffee

Lucid isn’t just a mushroom coffee — it’s a full-on adaptogenic cocktail of functional shrooms and nootropics, designed by gamers and DJs and extreme sports types. A quad-blend of mushrooms (lion’s mane, cordyceps, et al) plus alpha-GPC, creatine, L-theanine, and other functional compounds are mixed to create a deep black liquid with toasted-sesame tasting notes. Anyway, it had WIRED reviewer Pete Cottell feeling pretty dang productive. Or at least, way more jazzed than usual about cleaning the attic.

This is our favorite mushroom coffee to really aim for peak adaptogen—and if you wanted to try it out and see if it’ll get you amped to finally organize your garage, it’s nearly half off.

Orgain Vegan Protein Powder Is Organic, Kosher, and 32 Percent Off

Orgain

Organic Vegan Protein Powder

Several of us at WIRED are fans of Orgain Organic Vegan Protein Powder. It truly is the best-tasting vegan protein powder (that we’ve at least tried). This product is a blend of pea, brown rice, chia, and mung beans, providing 21 grams of protein and all essential amino acids per serving. It is USDA-certified organic, kosher, and free from artificial sweeteners, though some flavors do contain erythritol and gums.

You can’t go wrong with the vanilla bean flavor (my personal favorite), which is also great for baking. But the company offers a variety of other fun flavors, including birthday cake, fruity cereal, horchata, pumpkin spice, unsweetened, and an iced coffee variation that contains 60 milligrams of caffeine per serving—just slightly less than an espresso.

A Tiny Combo Robot Vacuum Is On Sale!

Image may contain: Indoors, and Play Area

Vacuums are the best. I have one running right now to clean up my house since I have been on Computer Jail (a.k.a. my office) all day. I’m genuinely surprised at some of the robot vacuums that I’m seeing that are currently on sale. The Eufy E20 debuted barely six months ago at CES 2025. This vacuum is cute, compact, and convenient. It’s the perfect solution if you live in a smaller space. (The dust bin is kind of tiny for someone who lives in a 4,000-square foot house with multiple kids and dogs.)

Head & Shoulders

Clinical Strength Shampoo Twin Pack

If you struggle with psoriasis, eczema, or any type of dermatitis, this is one of the shampoos dermatologists recommend. It contains one percent selenium sulfide, which helps control dandruff and relieve scalp irritation. A board-certified dermatologist I once interviewed for seborrheic dermatitis mentioned that these shampoos can also be used as facial cleansers while showering. Although I’m a fan of Selsun Blue (which is also on sale) in all its variations, this formula is just as effective. The twin-pack is also a hard deal to pass up.

Therabody

Smart Goggles (1st Generation)

There’s not much of a difference between the first and second generation SmartGoggles, and for $70 off, I’m more inclined to purchase the former. We loved the OG model (9/10, WIRED Recommends) for a bajillion reasons. The combination of gentle heat, vibration, and massage therapy across the forehead, eyebrows, and temples relaxes facial tension within minutes. There are three preset modes: Focus, Sleep, and SmartRelax. It also syncs with the Therabody app, letting you tweak the settings or incorporate sound therapy. I love wearing them when I have a headache from staring at screens all day and right before bed.

What Books Are You Buying?

article image

Once you have a Kindle, you need some books to read on it! Kindle Unlimited is the easy answer, and it’s actually free for three months as a Prime Day promotion. I took a brief detour into the books that are on sale on Amazon just to check them out. (The company did start as an online bookstore, after all.) The ebooks are … meh but the print books selection are very solid, if old. (The Boys in the Boat is on sale!) Did you pick anything up? Let us know at [email protected].

The Mini Theragun Is On Sale

Therabody

Theragun Mini (2nd Generation)

If you’re new to percussive therapy or need something packable for travel, may I recommend the Theragun Mini? The second-gen is 20 percent smaller and 30 percent lighter than the original model. Battery life is about 120 minutes of consistent use. And it also comes with three attachments (standard Ball, dampener, thumb) and a soft zip-up case that fits into a tote, gym bag, or carry-on.

Machete’s Tortoise Apple Watch Straps Are On Sale

Titanium Milanese Loop Bands shown in beige and black both on a watch and standalone. Background: red watercolor texture.

My mom has the Machete Apple Watch Strap. It looks good as hell and I was about to add it to our guide to the Best Apple Watch Accessories. However, even on sale, it’s still a little spendy, so I took a brief perusal through the other Apple Watch straps available on Amazon.

The problem is that many smartwatch straps have been found to have elevated levels of “forever chemicals”, or PFAS, which makes me a little wary of cheap fluoroelastomer straps from third-party sellers. If you, too, are feeling a little gun-shy, you can mostly avoid this by sticking to leather, metal, or to manufacturers who have done independent testing on their straps.
