Guy In Chuck E Cheese Suit Reportedly Pinched For Credit Card Fraud

Tallahassee police reportedly arrested a man dressed in a Chuck E. Cheese mascot costume for credit card fraud.

Photos and video circulated widely on social media purporting to show Tallahassee Police Department officers escorting a costumed man out of the Chuck E. Cheese restaurant in front of children and families, the Tallahassee Democrat reported. A video obtained by Barstool Sports appears to show an officer take the mouse’s head off the suspect. TPD spokesperson Jerome Maples confirmed the authenticity of the images and said officers took a man into custody on three felony charges, the Tallahassee Democrat reported. The man’s name is allegedly Jermell J. Jones, TMZ first reported.

Prosecutors charged the man with theft of a credit card, criminal use of personal identification information and fraudulent use of a credit card more than twice within a six-month period, the Leon County Clerk of Courts website revealed, the Tallahassee Democrat reported. Officers booked the suspect into the Leon County Jail, though authorities later released him on a $1,000 bond, according to TMZ.

The Tallahassee Democrat has asked for court documents related to the case and is awaiting additional details.
