Ted Cruz rips wartime ‘lying’ from MSNBC, CNN, Rashida Tlaib

Sen. Ted Cruz today lashed out at the “lying” pro-Hamas propaganda pushed by Rep. “Rashida Tlaib and CNN, MSNBC,” following the Palestinian Islamic Jihad’s bombing of a Gaza hospital, claiming that they are in cahoots to undermine Israel.

In his podcast “Verdict with Ted Cruz,” the Texas Republican addressed the liberal media’s initial acceptance from Hamas officials that the Tuesday missile blast was from Israel and their reluctance to accept Israel’s denial even after proof was offered from Israeli Defense Forces, President Biden and Arab news sources such as Al Jazeera.

Cruz said CNN and MSNBC followed the lead of Palestinian lawmaker Tlaib, (D-MI), who yesterday was still ignoring intelligence showing that the attack was from a bad Palestinian missile barrage aimed at Israel.

Hamas has claimed that some 500 were killed in the attack and the media filled with video of injured pouring into other hospitals. Intelligence photos, however, showed that a handful of cars in the hospital parking lot were burned in the attack.

On the show, Cruz and co-host Ben Ferguson interviewed Aryeh Lightstone, former senior advisor to Trump era U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman.

Lightstone mocked the attack reporting too. “This was a rocket from Islamic Jihad that landed short in the hospital parking lot. It may have killed people, we’re still waiting on the count. It wasn’t in the hundreds, it likely wasn’t a dozen. And it hit a parking lot. There are several Kias that were damaged. There may have been some Toyotas as well,” he said.

He added, “People use the word animalistic. It’s an insult to animals. Animals, animals don’t conduct themselves like this. And the news, the reports, there’s not a person, Israel is a small country. There’s not a person in Israel who has not been to a funeral, who has not been to a shiva, a house of mourning, who has not been to a vigil for the many, many hostages that are still missing with very little information about them.”

Cruz defended the IDF strongly and suggested that anybody who understands that military force should know they don’t mess up often.

“The Israelis have one of the most advanced militaries on the face of the planet,” he said, adding, “They target military targets. They’re looking to take out Hamas.”

But addressing the other team, he said, “The Hamas terrorists and Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorist, they are firing very, very crude rockets and missiles. And they’re often just a tube of metal with some propellant in them with some explosive and metal, whether it’s ball bearings, or nails or other antipersonnel shrapnel designed to murder as many civilians as possible, and they fire these rockets, they fire thousands of them. And many of them go wildly off course because they don’t have any navigation system. They’re just sort of aiming them and hoping they go into Israel and kill Jews.”

And, he added, the media should have known but instead were lying for Hamas.

“They all know they’re lying,” said Cruz. “Rashida Tlaib and CNN, MSNBC, and every one of those media outlets that are lying about this. They know they’re lying. But their objective of undermining Israel is more important to them than telling the truth and they’re shamelessly engaged in that propaganda,” Cruz said.
