“We are devastated by this event and extend our sincerest sympathies to the guest’s loved ones,” the spokesperson said in a statement. “We are fully committed to cooperating with this ongoing investigation. The attraction remains closed.”
Off-duty deputies found the man unresponsive on the ride, according to NBC News. The cause of death has not been determined, and the District Nine Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an investigation.
Stardust Racers, a dual-launch coaster that opened in May 2025, reaches speeds of 62 mph on 5,000 feet of track and climbs to 133 feet, according to Fox 35 News. Epic Universe, which opened in May, is the first major, traditional theme park to open in Florida since 1999. The multibillion-dollar project spans several themed lands and is billed as Universal’s most ambitious expansion.
Neither the Orange County Sheriff’s Office nor Universal immediately responded to the Daily Caller’s request for comment.
