WATCH: Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson Declares Rebellion Against Feds – Vows to “Lead a Resistance” Against Federal Authorities

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson is doubling down on his commitment to fight for illegal aliens and “lead a resistance” against the federal government and federal authorities as violent mobs lay siege on his city.

In an interview on Tuesday, Johnson claimed, “This is not about immigration. This is about a president who wants to enact authoritarianism in this country, where the rule of law doesn’t apply to him and to one individual alone.”

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Johnson signed an executive order this week, making Chicago an “ICE Free Zone” and “prohibiting use of city property for federal immigration operations.” His actions to impede the federal government’s lawful authority and shelter, harbor, and shield illegal aliens from deportation are illegal. He is also inciting his radical militants to rebel engage in an uprising against United States law enforcement. 

Additionally, Chicago Police were recently ordered to stand down and ignore the distress calls from federal agents who were ambushed and rammed with cars by a convoy of leftists.

President Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem suggested on Wednesday during a Roundtable on Antifa event that these leaders could face criminal charges for inciting violence against ICE and impeding federal immigration enforcement.

Trump called for Brandon Johnson and JB Pritzker to be jailed on Truth Social this morning, stating, “Chicago Mayor should be in jail for failing to protect Ice Officers! Governor Pritzker also!“

Johnson now says, "I'm doing everything in my power to defend the people of this city and to lead a resistance that, quite frankly, is desperately needed to protect our democracy and our humanity."

His threats come as 500 National Guard troops arrive in Chicago to assist and protect ICE officers who have faced attacks and threats in Chicago for attempting to enforce the law.
