Former “Today” cohost Bryant Gumbel was reportedly rushed to hospital after suffering a “medical emergency” in New York City.
Sources with direct knowledge of the situation told TMZ that first responders transported Gumbel on a gurney from his Manhattan apartment building just after 9pm Monday. The outlet reported that Gumbel has not yet been released from hospital. His condition and the exact nature of his medical crisis reportedly remains unknown.

The 77-year-old broadcasting icon is reportedly undergoing some form of medical treatment but no further information was publicly disclosed.

Gumbel cohosted of NBC’s long-running morning show for 15 years, initially alongside Jane Pauley and Katie Couric. He’s also recognized for his role as sportscaster and host of HBO’s “Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel.”
