Gargantuan Bison Nearly Clips Tourists After Charging At Them In Scary Video

If you don’t respect nature, it won’t respect you.

A couple of tourists recently learned exactly that after they were charged at by a bison at Yellowstone National Park, and it was all caught on camera for our popcorn entertainment.

Julie Argyle, a photographer, shared video that captures a huge bison charging at two tourists, serving as a stark reminder of the consequences of, well, being dumb. (RELATED: Evidence Of Ancient Tree-Climbing Crocodiles Discovered In Australia)

“Volume up — Most of the time when you’re asked not to do something in Yellowstone, it’s for a good reason. Please be mindful if someone asks you not to do something. It’s usually for your own good,” wrote Argyle when describing what went down.

Argyle also noted on the footage that the two individuals received warnings 10 minutes prior to the incident not to ascend the hill where “the bison were roughhousing.”

Well, they ended up ignoring those warnings, and this happened.

Did you know tracks and scat aren’t the only signs of wildlife you can find in the park? Bison and other wildlife rub trees for a variety of reasons – marking territory, scratching an itch, or removing insects and old fur. The lack of respect from humans towards nature is always an amazing thing to me. Like, come on, what makes you think that 2,000 pound behemoth with horns won’t just pummel you into another dimension?

We could have easily been looking at a death here, or two.
