On the first day of play, hundreds of fans cheered Caitlin Clark as she showed her greatness on the beautiful southern Florida course.

Today was only Wednesday and a throng of supporters and fans followed Clark through her first round.
Can you imagine the crowds that will show up this weekend to see Caitlin Clark and Kai Trump?

What a smart move by the LPGA!

According to SI, the Indiana Fever star is a self-proclaimed golf nut and has been working on her game the last couple years away from the WNBA season. Last year in the pro-am at The Annika she had some amateur moments, topping a tee shot on one hole and clipping a fan with a shot on another, but also made an impression on playing partners Nelly Korda and tournament host Annika Sorenstam.

This weekend, Clark will be joined by Kai Trump on the Belleair course. This will definitely bring more viewers to the game.

The WNBA could certainly learn something from the LPGA.
