A man was arrested Wednesday for arson among other charges following a flurry of fiery attacks on Halloween decorations on the North Side of Chicago, CBS News reported.
Mario Munoz was arrested after allegedly setting fire to spooky decor outside of a home earlier this month, CBS News reported. Someone in the area notified officers that they recognized Munoz as the suspect. The 34-year-old is facing charges that include a felony count of arson as well as a misdemeanor of criminal damage to property.

All together, there are eight cases of a suspect setting both home Halloween scenes as well as trash cans ablaze, CBS noted, citing police.
“I worked hard for it,” local manager Johnathan Chea said. “And I love my little scarecrow.”
Another decoration was burned outside of an apartment building.
“My wife and I smelled it,” resident Craig Deering said. “And we came out here and saw the flames and we waited for the fire department, watched them put it out.”
