WATCH LIVE: Maine State Police hold press conference following mass shooting

Maine State Police are holding a press conference on Thursday morning after two mass shootings that occurred in Lewiston, Maine, on Wednesday night.
At least 16 people are dead, with Lewiston City Councilor Robert McCarthy stating on CNN that the number could be as high as 22. Dozens of people are believed to have been injured in the two shootings. The shootings occurred at two locations: Sparetime Recreation, a bowling alley on Mollison Way, and Schemengees Bar and Grille Restaurant on Lincoln Street.

Robert Card, 40, believed to be stationed at the Army Reserve base in Saco, Maine, is the suspect. He is still at large, with Maine State Police installing shelter-in-place orders for Lewiston, Auburn, Bowdoin, and Lisbon.
A state police bulletin said Card had recently reported hearing voices that told him to “shoot up” the National Guard base in Saco.

Wednesday’s shooting is likely the deadliest in Maine’s history, per the Portland Press Herald.
The press conference will begin at 10:30 a.m. Eastern time on Thursday.
