An alleged intruder was turned over to Los Angeles police after he allegedly twice tried to gain entry into presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr.’s home, TMZ first reported.
The same man had allegedly initially tried to scale the fence to RFK Jr’s home Wednesday, but a security firm guarding the house detected and detained the suspect, a Kennedy team press release read. After Los Angeles police released the suspect, he allegedly tried to break into Kennedy’s home again but failed, the announcement noted. RFK Jr. was home on both break in occasions, according to the press release. RFK Jr.’s wife Cheryl Hines was there as well and spotted the intruder in her yard, TMZ noted.
The press release noted the security firm protecting the independent presidential candidate “had notified the Secret Service about this specific obsessed individual several times in recent months and shared alarming communications he has sent to the candidate.” The press released also mentioned how the campaign team has lamented the Biden administration’s refusal to place Kennedy under Secret Service protection.
This has not been the first instance where RFK Jr. has experienced a security scare.
