The suspected Brown University shooter has been found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound inside of a storage unit in Salem, New Hampshire, on Thursday evening.

The suspected shooter was found dead six days after he opened fire at Brown University and killed two students and critically wounded nine.

The shooter has been identified as 48-year-old Claudio Neves-Valente. He was a Brown University student and a Portuguese national.

The Providence Police Chief delivered remarks after Claudio Neves-Valente was found dead:

The AP also reported that the man suspected in the Brown University shooting has been found dead in a New Hamp

The Brown University shooting suspect is reportedly not a US citizen. He is a “permanent resident alien.”

The suspected shooter is originally from Portugal, the same country where the MIT professor who was killed at his Brookline, Massachusetts, home this week is from.

The suspected shooter had a storage unit in the facility where the abandoned car was found.
