President Trump will address the nation following successful strikes in Venezuela, leading to the capture of Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, who will now face trial in the United States.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, President Trump announced the successful “large scale strike against Venezuela and its leader” early on Saturday, adding that Maduro and his wife were captured and flown out of the country.

Maduro and his wife were then charged in the Southern District of New York, with Maduro facing counts of Narco-Terrorism Conspiracy, Cocaine Importation Conspiracy, Possession of Machineguns and Destructive Devices, and Conspiracy to Possess Machineguns and Destructive Devices against the United States.

President Trump joined Fox News this morning to discuss the invasion of Venezuela, which he said he personally watched from Florida.

"They'll be heading to New York. You know, they were indicted in New York," Trump said before revealing that they were taken prisoner on board the USS Iwo Jima.

But they've killed a lot of people. Remember that. They killed a lot of people and even people in their own country. They killed a lot of people to maintain power. He's a very vicious person.

Trump is expected to be joined by members of his administration and Joint Chiefs of Staff Dan "Raizin" Caine to deliver an address on the strikes at 11 am ET.
