Hallie Shoffner is running for Senate in Arkansas, angling to beat Republican incumbent Tom Cotton.
Shoffner’s website pitches the candidate as a “sixth-generation farmer” who wants to “take the fight to Washington.” But Shoffner, according to the Washington Free Beacon, “spent years working as a left-wing activist—and hired a marketing firm to build a ‘new brand’ as ‘FarmHerHallie.’”
“My whole life, I’ve been a rice and soybean farmer,” Shoffner claims in a November campaign video.
Shoffner’s worn a few other hats, the Free Beacon discovered. As a master’s student at the University of Arkansas’ Clinton School of Public Service, she “developed a fundraising strategy and donor database for PROMSEX, a nonprofit that works to promote gender equality, empower women and eliminate gender-based discrimination and violence,” according to the Clinton School. PROMSEX received a $300,000 grant from George Soros’ Open Society Foundations (OSF) in 2021. (RELATED: Soros-Linked Activists Train DC Jurors To Protect ‘Marginalized’ Defendants)
Shoffner appears to have bragged about PROMSEX’s role in organizing “Lima’s 9th Annual Gay Pride Parade” in a (now-deleted) blog from 2010.
“Now, when I say I marched in Lima’s 9th Annual Gay Pride Parade, I marched in the FRONT of Lima’s 9th Annual Gay Pride Parade. I mean in the very front. Leading the charge. My org, Promsex, funded the parade so our staff carried the opening banner,” Shoffner wrote, according to an archived version of the blog.

“Yes, we were celebrating being gay, lesbian, transexual, bisexual…we were even celebrating being straight. But, primarily, we were celebrating love and humanity’s ability to love.”
Shoffner returned to her family farm in 2016, the Free Beacon claims, also working with a marketing firm to coin a personal brand. Hoffner appears on the Laura Kirk Marketing Group website as a client, and is described as a “CEO & Climate Activist.”
Shoffner was director of Arkansas Citizens Climate League in 2021, says the Free Beacon, and was described by the group in a Facebook post as a “committed climate solutions advocate.” Also in 2021, the Arkansas Citizens Climate League sponsored a “How to Be an Anti-Racist Study Group.” (RELATED: Left-Wing Activists Offer Help To Troops Who Don’t Want To Follow Trump’s Orders)
Expect to see plenty more “aw, shucks” rebrands from Democrats as they tiptoe away from whatever toxic politics they were promoting in the peak years of Woke.
