RINO LIES: Anthony Constantino Smeared for ‘Not Paying Taxes’ by Opponent, He Actually Paid $10 Million MORE in Taxes Than Required

Drives Carpetbagging “No-Trumper” Mark Molinaro From the Race for Stefanik Seat

Sticker Mule CEO Anthony Constantino is clearing the air after a vicious and potentially defamatory political attack accusing him of being a tax cheat.

Constantino first came to national prominence during President Trump’s 2024 campaign when he erected an enormous “VOTE FOR TRUMP” sign on the roof of his company headquarters in Amsterdam, New York, and local Democrat city officials threatened to jail him if he refused to remove the sign. After a protracted legal battle, Constantino won, and the sign still stands.

More recently, Constantino announced his campaign for Congress. He deposited $5 million of his own money into his own campaign account, declaring his refusal to take any special interest money for the race. Constantino said he was funding his own campaign to be free of “Any special interest influence” when he is elected to Congress. “The only people I will be held to as a member of Congress are the people of my district,” said Constantino.

Local boy, entrepreneur, job-creator, philanthropist, optimizes the American Dream, and now Constantino, a former undefeated professional boxer, built a multi-million dollar business from the ground up in Amsterdam, New York, Constantino lives in Edinburg.

Further boosting Constantino’s prospects was the fact that former Congressman Marc Molinaro—who represented the 19th Congressional District in the distant Mid-Hudson Valley, as well as serving one term as the Dutchess County Executive—would not seek the North Country seat where Stefanik is exiting the race, announcing that he would stay in his low-level position in the Trump Administration.

Molinaro—who “took a knee” for George Floyd and supported the Black Lives Matter movement—was a bad fit for the rural and strongly pro-Trump North Country district that is now an open seat with the announcement that the respected Elise Stefanik would not run again.

Stefanik reportedly told Constantino, with whom she went to high school, that she had “no plans to retire from the House.” Some suggested that the false rumor was promoted in an effort by Assemblyman Robert Smullen, the only other Constantino competitor in the race, in order to stampede weak Republican county chairmen into endorsements.

Constantino is running for the Republican nomination in New York’s 21st U.S. Congressional District to succeed Elise Stefanik following her announcement that she would be stepping down. Constantino was accused of “not paying his taxes” by his RINO opponent, Assemblyman Robert Smullen, during a radio interview with WGY.

Constantino has responded by bringing the receipts. He showed that he actually paid $10 million more than was necessary in taxes. Constantino posted a picture of his U.S. Treasury reimbursement check worth $8.3 million that is the second-largest reported reimbursement in U.S. history behind President Trump’s own $72.9-million reimbursement in 2010.

In the same interview, Assemblyman Smullen also told host Bob Lonsberry that Constantino initially was not a supporter of President Trump, another patently false statement. FEC records show Constantino donated to Donald Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016, enduring a harsh boycott of Sticker Mule by Democrat activists. Additionally, Constantino was photographed by the New York Times attending President Trump’s inauguration in 2017.

“Everyone knows Anthony Constantino is a fierce Trump supporter and has been since the beginning. Sticker Mule went through hell over Constantino’s early support of the President. It’s insulting to everyone at Sticker Mule, who endured the Democrat Party’s hate for 8 years, that Smullen would lie so egregiously,” Constantino campaign manager Lenny Roudik said, calling Smullen’s attacks “truly absurd.”

Smullen also made the claim that Constantino is “not from this district,” even though Constantino’s lifelong home is in Edinburg, New York.

Evidentially, Smullen hopes that his attacks distract from his own record as a tax fraudster. Smullen was charged with a felony for filing documentation allowing him to receive military property tax relief at two residences. Prosecutors alleged that Smullen lied on a veteran’s exemption form in 2016 that a Niskayuna home was his primary residence. This exemption, which also used Smullen’s disability status, knocked $105,000 off of his home’s 2017 assessment. Smullen had previously declared a veteran’s exemption on a Johnstown home, which was also listed as his primary residence.

Smullen was, similar to Attorney General Leticia James, caught double-dipping. Smullen was formally charged in July 2018 after a complaint from a Johnstown Town Board member about the matter, after other town officials aligned with Smullen refused to take action. Smullen was able to plead the felony charge down to a misdemeanor and eventually pleaded guilty, even though he refused to ever take responsibility for his actions and continues to play the victim.

In contrast, Constantino is one of the Congressional District’s largest employers, building independent wealth that he is now putting up to demonstrate that he cannot be bought by the Washington D.C. Uni-party establishment. He has already put an incredible $5 million of his own money into his own campaign account.

In recent weeks, there have been indications that “Never Trumper” former Congressman Marc Molinaro, who served one term in Congress before being defeated, representing a mid-Hudson Valley congressional district far from the North Country 21st District, where Constantino is considering entering the race. Molinaro is best known for supporting Black Lives Matter and publicly “Taking a knee” for left-wing icon George Floyd. Molinaro is not likely to consider entering the upstate New York race.
