Failing UK PM Starmer Accuses Trump of ‘Diminishing the Role’ of British Dead in Afghanistan War – Distracting From Labour Cancelling Dozens of Local Elections (VIDEO)

Keir Starmer addresses the media, suggesting that Donald Trump should apologize regarding recent claims, with a British flag in the background.

Starmer needs to change the subject from his cancellation of local elections.

And so it happens that failing British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has accused US President Donald J. Trump of ‘diminishing’ the role of Britain’s dead servicemen by claiming that ‘British troops who fought in Afghanistan avoided the frontlines.’

Before we even get into the story, it’s necessary to note that for Starmer to be now posturing as a defender of the armed forces is preposterous.

Anyone following the UK knows that he is facing blistering criticism for his efforts to repeal or amend the Northern Ireland Troubles (Legacy and Reconciliation) Act.

He abandoned elderly military veterans involved in the 1970s conflict, exposing them to vexatious prosecutions, endless lawfare by money-hungry lawyers, and decades of hounding through the courts.

And of course, as a good leftist militant, Starmer imposes no equivalent scrutiny on paramilitaries and terrorists.

But now, a different generation of soldiers interests him as mere pawns in his efforts to oppose Trump. And, as a bonus, the emotional charge of the subject helps him to distract citizens from his cancellation of dozens of local elections.

The Telegraph reported:

“The Prime Minister denounced the US president for saying Nato troops had ‘stayed a little back’ during two decades of fighting against the Taliban.

His official spokesman said: ‘The president was wrong to diminish the role of Nato troops, including British forces in Afghanistan’. He added that hundreds of British soldiers died in Afghanistan in ‘the service of collective security’ and they would never be forgotten’.”

While Starmer surfs the indignation wave and gets a few days’ reprieve from his trainwreck of a premiership, he also distracts that no less than TWENTY-NINE English local councils have had their May elections postponed to 2027.

They sell it as ‘part of local government reorganization’, as two-thirds of these democracy-denying councils are controlled by Labour.

What they want is to prevent the expected massive victories by Nigel Farage’s Reform UK.
