Serial Criminal Allegedly Butchers Woman At Virginia Bus Stop

Police have charged a serial criminal in the death of a 41-year-old woman who was allegedly stabbed Monday at a Virginia bus stop.

Abdul Jalloh, 32, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the death of Stephanie Minter, the Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) said in a press release. Officers from the FCPD responded to Richmond Highway and Arlington Drive in Hybla Valley at 7:16 p.m. Monday. They discovered Minter with multiple stab wounds to her upper body at the bus stop shelter and attempted life-saving measures before she was pronounced dead on scene.

Detectives from the Major Crimes Bureau took over the investigation and through surveillance footage and interviews, they identified Jalloh as the last person to be seen with Minter, according to the same release. The suspect was seen exiting the bus with Minter at Richmond Highway and Arlington Drive. Officers located Jalloh the following day when they responded to a call about a suspicious person after an employee spotted the suspect entering a business and contacted police. Police linked Jalloh to an alleged larceny that occurred earlier in the day and arrested and transported him to the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center. The suspect was charged with petit larceny and is being held on no bond, police said.

Detectives linked Jalloh to Minter’s death and obtained a warrant to charge him Wednesday.

30 prior arrests and 5 prior felony malicious wounding charges since 2023 alone. Once again the innocent suffer when “catch and release” policies by leftwing prosecutors get in charge. This is 100% on Steve Descano, and why he’s so despised by the @FairfaxCountyPD https://t.co/PY44h9bZCr

One rider who uses the bus stop at Richmond Highway and Arlington Drive spoke to NBC 4 Washington, calling Minter’s death a “tragedy.”

“It’s like a tragedy. It’s a public area. There’s kids around here,” the rider, who asked not to be identified, said. “Makes you feel kind of wary of just heading to work.”

Minter’s death is not the first crime Jalloh has been linked to.

Records from the Fairfax County General District Court indicate Jalloh has a lengthy criminal history dating back to 2017, with previous charges including identity theft, possession of marijuana, rape by force/threat, disorderly conduct, and malicious wounding. In addition to his recent petit larceny charge, Jalloh was also charged with petit larceny in 2023, according to the same records.

Former Virginia Attorney General Jason Miyares slammed Fairfax County Commonwealth Attorney Steve Descano and said innocent people are suffering as a result of his policies in a statement he shared on X.

“30 prior arrests and 5 prior felony malicious wounding charges since 2023 alone. Once again the innocent suffer when ‘catch and release’ policies by leftwing prosecutors get in charge. This is 100% on Steve Descano, and why he’s so despised by the @FairfaxCountyPD,” Miyares wrote.

The Daily Caller contacted the FCPD but they did not immediately comment on the case.
