A couple in Hawaii was convicted Monday on multiple charges after they stole and lived under the identities of dead babies for decades.

Bobby Fort and Julie Montague, whose real names are  Walter Glenn Primrose and Gwynn Darle Morrison, were found guilty of conspiracy, passport fraud, and identity theft after the United States District Court jury deliberated for two hours, according to a report.

The pair had attempted to argue that their actions did not constitute harm.

Fort and Montague are the preferred names of the couple, but the real Bobby Fort has been dead for over five decades, according to the report.

He had died at three months old from a bad cough, according to Assistant U.S. Attorney Tom Muehleck.

The real Julie Montague reportedly died after three weeks of life in 1968 after she was born with birth defects.

Both deceased infants were buried 15 miles apart in Texas before Primrose and Morrison stole their identities due to debt, Muehleck said.
