SHOCK VIDEOS: Major Explosion Under Panama Canal’s Bridge of the Americas Kills at Least One – Investigation Under Way

A dramatic explosion occurs on a bridge, sending flames and smoke into the sky, with vehicles nearby impacted by the incident.

The Panama Canal is a vital waterway in the Western Hemisphere – Foreign Powers still have their sights on it.

Two days after US Secretary of State Marco Rubio called out China for detaining dozens of Panama-flagged vessels, a huge explosion under a bridge in the Canal area revived fear of out-of-control sabotage.

The New York Post reported:

“Apocalyptic footage shows the moment a fuel tanker exploded under a bridge near the Panama Canal, almost engulfing traffic in a fireball.”

Watch:

“Orange flames came perilously close to consuming vehicles in Panama City on Monday, according to footage shared online.

One person was killed in the massive fireball.”

Watch:

Panamanian authorities closed the bridge while firefighters investigated the explosion and engineers assessed the damage.

Associated Press reported:

“The blast on Panama’s Bridge of the Americas took place about 4 p.m. on Monday, and security camera footage captured a massive fireball rising toward the top of the bridge that connects Panama’s capital with an airport and numerous suburbs to the west. Several cars were on the bridge during the explosion but their drivers were not hurt by the flames.

Authorities said that one fuel truck worker died in the explosion. Two firefighters were injured as they extinguished the flames.

[…] Engineers warned the fire may have affected the integrity of the decades-old bridge, a key link between Panama City and the west of the country.”
