(VIDEO) Trump Says Iran Ceasefire on “Life Support” After “Garbage” Proposal from Iran

Image of two prominent political figures, one from the United States and the other from Iran, highlighting contrasting leadership styles and geopolitical perspectives.

President Trump on Monday told reporters that the US ceasefire with Iran is in jeopardy, describing Tehran’s recent proposal to end the war as “garbage.”

“I would say it’s one of the weakest right now; it’s on life support,” Trump said of the temporary truce between the US and Iran.

Trump announced a double-sided ceasefire and agreed to suspend his planned military strikes on Iran after speaking with the Pakistani Prime Minister last month.

However, Iran’s recent response from Iran to a US proposal to end the war fell flat, with Trump describing it as “TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE.”

Trump wrote on Truth Social on Sunday,

I have just read the response from Iran’s so-called “Representatives.” I don’t like it — TOTALLY UNACCEPTABLE! Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP

While speaking to reporters on Monday, Trump further told reporters that he “didn’t even finish reading” Iran’s response. “I’m not going to waste my time reading it,” Trump said, calling the ongoing ceasefire “the weakest right now after reading a piece of garbage they sent us.”

WATCH:

Reporter: For the time being, the ceasefire remains in place?

Trump: It’s unbelievably weak, I would say. I would call it the weakest right now after reading a piece of garbage they sent us. I didn’t even finish reading it. I said, I’m not going to waste my time reading it. I would say it’s one of the weakest right now; it’s on life support. They understand. These are all medical people, Doctor Oz, life support is not a good thing.

I would say the ceasefire is on massive life support, where the doctor walks in and says, “Sir, your loved one has approximately a 1% chance of living.”
