The purported manifesto of the transgender shooter who carried out the Covenant School shooting appears to have been leaked, sparking a local investigation and condemnation from the Nashville, Tennessee, mayor.

Conservatives have demanded the release of shooter Audrey Hale’s manifesto since its existence was revealed after the Covenant School shooting, during which Hale murdered three 9-year-old students and three adults before being killed by Metropolitan Nashville Police Department officers. Police refused to release the manifesto, but on Monday, three pages of what appeared to be excerpts were leaked to Louder With Crowder, prompting outrage from officials.

“I have directed Wally Dietz, Metro’s Law Director, to initiate an investigation into how these images could have been released,” Nashville Mayor Freddie O’Connell said in a statement. “That investigation may involve local, state, and federal authorities. I am deeply concerned with the safety, security, and wellbeing of the Covenant families and all Nashvillians who are grieving.”

He added that the release is sure to cause “additional emotional trauma,” and he directed those affected to reach out for support.

The MNPD released a similar statement.

“The MNPD is in communication with the Metropolitan Department of Law as an investigation, begun this morning, continues into the dissemination of three photographs of writings during an online discussion about Covenant school,” the statement read. “The photographs are not MNPD crime scene images. The police department has been in contact with a representative of Covenant families. Police department counselors are available to assist them in coping with the emotional trauma caused by the dissemination.”

Though the MNPD said the images leaked by Louder With Crowder weren’t crime scene images, police vehicles can be seen in the background.

FOX 17 reported that it had confirmed the manifesto’s authenticity through a source.

The three pages showed Hale’s plans to murder as many people as possible, and the pages were covered in hateful references and expressions of a desire to kill white people.

“Wanna kill all you little crackers,” one of the pages seen in the pictures of the alleged manifesto reads, while another reads, “Bunch of little f****ts w/ your white [privileges] f*** you f****ts.”

“Kill those kids!!! Those crackers,” another page read.

The images included a detailed schedule of the massacre, which was referred to as “Death Day.”

Tennessee House Republican Caucus Chairman Jeremy Faison alleged a cover-up in the refusal of authorities to release Hale’s manifesto.

“There was never a good reason to keep that monster’s manifesto under lock, which is why I called for its release months ago,” he wrote in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. “After reading this morning, I’m questioning even more why the anti-white racism & anti-Christian bigotry of Audrey Hale was covered up. We need answers.”
