BREAKING UPDATE: Ken Paxton SMOKES RINO John Cornyn LANDSLIDE Victory Within One Hour of Polls Closing – Trump Responds!

Ken Paxton wins the Texas primary election with 62.6% of the votes, defeating incumbent John Cornyn, who received 37.4%.

UPDATE: At 9 pm ET, Decision Desk projected Ken Paxton as the winner, unseating RINO John Cornyn. Minutes after 9 pm, Paxton was leading by more than 25 points with roughly 50% of the votes counted.

President Trump boasted the massive win with a graphic declaring victory on Truth Social.

Cornyn held an embarrassing watch party, where a small handful of people showed up to witness his defeat. Meanwhile, Paxton held a massive election night rally. Per NBC, “The room here told the story before results ever came in. This was never intended to be a watch party — it’s all media by design. No balloons, no music, no fanfare, not even any supporters.”

Earlier update: Paxton dominated Cornyn in the early vote totals, and he won the first election day vote dump by a whopping 74%!

Statewide, Paxton is leading Cornyn by nearly 26% with roughly 45% of the vote counted.

In the first vote dump of the night for Texas’s Republican Senate primary runoff, Ken Paxton is surging ahead with a nearly 25-point lead!

Neither candidate received 50% of the vote in the March Primary, leading to a runoff election this Tuesday.

As The Gateway Pundit reported, Trump endorsed Paxton last Tuesday after months of remaining neutral in the contest.

Most polls in Texas closed at 8 pm ET.

In Denton County, 62% of the vote totals were released at the top of the hour, showing Paxton winning 62.4% to Cornyn’s 37.6%.

NBC’s Steve Kornacki is reporting live on the results tonight.

According to Kornacki, Cornyn previously beat Paxton in Denton County during the March primary election, but Paxton destroyed him one on one.

Paxton currently leads Cornyn across the state with 61.8% of the total votes.
