Trump Announces Two Major July 4 Celebrations

President Donald Trump announced two major rallies to celebrate the semiquincentennial 4th of July, both on the National Mall in Washington, D.C.

Trump revealed two celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence in TruthSocial posts Monday. The June 24 event will kick off the festivities of the Great American State Fair, which is set to run from June 25 to July 10. The second event, a “Tribute to America” rally, will take place in front of the Lincoln Memorial on July 4.

The June 24 event is set to include several musical performances, including the U.S. Army and Marine Corps Military Bands, American tenor Christopher Macchio, and “Lee Greenwood, performing the Greatest Hit of All Time, GOD BLESS THE U.S.A.” The celebration will also feature military flyovers from fighter jets and stealth bombers, flown by “the most Elite Pilots anywhere in the World.” Performers will sing from the main stage of the Great American State Fair on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. The July 4 celebration will honor the “Country’s People, Spirit, Strength, Resolve, and Triumphs.” Trump called the event the “most spectacular TRUMP RALLY of them all, a ‘TRIBUTE TO AMERICA.’” (RELATED: Lesbian Minister Cancels July 4 Celebrations In Political Protest)

The event will feature “more than 300 Members of our strong and talented Military Bands, Orchestras, and Ceremonial Units,” who are set to perform “Patriotic Melodies and American Classics, and my Playlist.” Trump claims the joint military bands will be the largest military ensemble in history. This event will also feature flyovers from the military, an address from Trump and the “LARGEST FIREWORKS SHOW IN HISTORY.”

“We will have none of those people that put you to sleep and constantly complain!” Trump posted.

Trump praised D.C. as one of the “safest cities in the world,” a reference to his “D.C. Safe & Beautiful Task Force,” a result of the “Making the District of Columbia Safe and Beautiful” executive order. Crime rates in the nation’s capital hit a 30-year low, falling 35 percent from 2023, according to the Department of Justice

The two celebrations flank the Great American State Fair, which will take place on the National Mall in the weeks surrounding July 4. The “world-class exposition” will include a ferris wheel, exhibits from all 56 states and territories, “entertainment, cultural programming, family attractions, innovation showcases, and spectacular flyovers.” Freedom 250 also announced a Rodeo 250 celebration on the National Mall that will include horse exhibitions and cultural performers in a showcase of the American cowboy.

“Rodeo 250 is more than a western showcase,” Freedom 250 CEO Keith Krach wrote in the announcement, “it’s a celebration of the values and traditions that helped build our nation.”

Freedom 250 did not respond immediately to the Daily Caller’s request for comment.
