Jason Aldean and Kid Rock are scheduled to headline the “Rock the Country” music festival next year, bringing together two country music stars who have caught the attention of conservatives this year.

The music festival, which starts in April 2024, will have multiple stops in the South, all of which will have their concerts take place over the course of two days. Other musical talents who will be joining Aldean and Kid Rock at the various locations include Koe Wetzel, Brantley Gilbert, Travis Tritt, Miranda Lambert, Hank Williams Jr., and Lynyrd Skynyrd, among others.

Aldean, one of the headliners, made waves in the music industry earlier this year when he released the song “Try That In A Small Town,” which was initially removed from Country Music Television’s rotation, leading to the song gaining massive streams on music platforms. Polling data found that a majority of the public opposed CMT’s decision to pull the song.

“Try That In A Small Town,” which Aldean defended in the wake of CMT’s decision, is about the desire to return to a time “where we go at least a day without a headline that keeps us up at night,” the singer explained. The song was hugely popular on major music streaming platforms such as iTunes, and as of Tuesday morning has over 42 million views and over 1.3 million likes on YouTube.

Musician Kid Rock, meanwhile, has garnered attention through footage shared on social media, including a video he shared of him shooting multiple cans of Bud Light. The video was posted in the wake of a recent partnership Bud Light did with trans star Dylan Mulvaney, which led to sharp backlash among conservatives.

Kid Rock also went viral on Saturday for attending a recent Ultimate Fighting Championship event with former President Donald Trump.
