Former President Donald Trump bashed “Soros-funded Democrats” in an email to supporters using various efforts to kick him off ballots next year as a fundraising push.

The fundraising email blamed “Soros-funded Democrats” for the effort to get him taken off the 2024 ballot in Colorado, along with several other states.

“It will be our campaign’s FINAL close of books before our campaign attorney appears before a State Supreme Court as Soros-funded Democrats make a serious attempt to remove my name from the 2024 ballot,” the email read, according to the Hill.

“These left-wing radicals failed to beat us in a district court. Now, they’re appealing to a State Supreme Court. This showdown may very well end up at the U.S. Supreme Court,” it continued.

Earlier this month, state Judge Sarah B. Wallace ruled that Trump had engaged in insurrection on Jan. 6, but she allowed him to remain on the ballot through a technicality. The ruling was objected to by both sides, with Trump taking issue with the ruling that he had engaged in insurrection and plaintiffs taking issue with him remaining on the ballot. The Colorado Supreme Court will hear the appeals of both.

Similar efforts to remove Trump from the ballot have been rejected in Michigan and Minnesota.
