FBI agent carjacked at gunpoint in DC

An FBI agent reported to local police that armed suspects stole the agent’s vehicle on Wednesday afternoon in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington, D.C.
The Metropolitan Police Department said in a statement that officers responded at the 100 block of 12th St. NE, right by the historic Lincoln Park, to a report from a federal agent of an armed carjacking.

The agent “reported two suspects took their vehicle,” police said.
The vehicle was recovered about a half-hour later roughly a mile away, at the 1000 block of 15th St. SE, police said.
The FBI Washington Field Office confirmed the incident in a statement and said it was investigating the matter.

“At this time, we can confirm that an FBI employee was carjacked on the afternoon of November 29,” the bureau’s Washington Field Office said. “The vehicle was recovered, and the FBI Washington Field Office and the Metropolitan Police Department’s Carjacking Task Force are investigating.”
