Pro-Palestinian protesters gathered outside of former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi‘s (D-CA) home in San Francisco on Sunday demanding a ceasefire in the war between Hamas and Israel, making the Democratic leader the latest lawmaker to find activists outside their home or office.

Dozens of people stood outside Pelosi’s home during a protest organized by Code Pink, an anti-war feminist grassroots organization, according to local outlet KTVU. The group said 100 people were expected at the protest that lasted from 9 a.m. to noon.

Sunday’s protest was the latest in a series of demonstrations organized by Code Pink. In November, Code Pink activists occupied the offices of numerous Senate Democrats demanding a ceasefire in the war, leading to the arrests of 52 demonstrators. The U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights hung a banner outside Sen. Cory Booker’s (D-NJ) office calling for the U.S. to stop arming Israel. Activists were screaming at Misty Rebik, Sen. Bernie Sanders’s (I-VT) chief of staff, as she walked into her office.

“You walk away from us as our people die. Their blood is on your hands, Misty,” one woman shouted as Rebik walked away.

Earlier that week, Code Pink organized a disruption to Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s testimony before the Senate Appropriations Committee, in which they were discussing President Joe Biden’s request for over $14 million in aid for Israel.

Pelosi is the latest Democrat to experience pushback or vandalism from pro-Palestinian or pro-ceasefire protesters. Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA) said on Friday that his home in Washington was vandalized by protesters calling for a ceasefire. In early November, Rep. Monica De La Cruz (R-TX) claimed “pro-Hamas activists” vandalized her district office in Texas — activists wrote, “Israel kills Jews too,” on the office windows, and there appeared to be sheets with red markings stating, “Monica Murders” and “Israel is doing genocide and you support it.”

The New York district office of Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY), who was one of two lawmakers in Israel during the Oct. 7 Hamas attacks, was vandalized on the exterior with phrases including “Blood on ur hands,” “Free Palestine,” and “Let Gaza live.”
