December 12, 2023 12:16 PM

The National Republican Congressional Committee raised $9 million last month, marking the group’s largest haul it has ever recorded in an off-year November and nearly doubling its gains from the month before.

The fundraising report from last month surpasses the $7.2 million it raised in November 2021, which was the group’s previous record for an off-year November. It also marks an improvement from the $5 million the NRCC raised in October, bringing its current war chest to $41.4 million cash on hand.

“House Republicans stepped up to the plate and helped the Committee hit a fundraising grand slam — led by Speaker Johnson and our incredible leadership team,” NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson said. “With partners like this and an incredible political environment, extreme House Democrats should dread yet another cycle in the minority.”

The latest numbers show a sign of growing momentum under Speaker Mike Johnson, whom the NRCC has frequently lauded as a strong fundraiser.

On the same day the NRCC announced its record-breaking haul, several Republican leaders announced massive contributions to the group during a closed-door conference meeting on Tuesday. GOP Chairwoman Elise Stefanik announced she would transfer $1 million to the NRCC, pledging an additional $1 million to go specifically toward New York Republicans seeking reelection, a source familiar confirmed to the Washington Examiner.

Majority Whip Tom Emmer (R-MN) also pledged a hefty contribution, announcing he would give $500,000 to the NRCC, according to a source familiar. Emmer has raised more than $3 million for the NRCC so far this cycle and has transferred more than $1 million to GOP candidates and incumbents.

Although the fundraising reports indicate a sign of strength for House Republicans, the numbers still fall below their Democratic counterparts who have consistently outraised the NRCC throughout the 2024 cycle.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee raised $8.1 million in October, which was $3 million more than the NRCC’s haul, putting them at $47.3 million cash on hand as of last month. The DCCC has not yet released its November numbers.
